Great looking boot, which fits true to size. My only complaint and reason I considered returning them is the ankle support which I find too strenuous (tight). This feature was mentioned by other buyers, so I wasn’t surprised. If you lace the boot all the way, it’s just too tight around the ankle, but it works great if you stop below the ankle.

I originally ordered a half size larger than my normal shoes but had to go up a full size. These are comfortable straight out of the box. Haven’t had the chance to hike yet but after miserable experiences with Merrill and Keen I’m so far pleased with these.

I tried on several brands. By far these are the most elegant and fun. Comfort is my first priority, and they seem to be stiff around the ankle bone, and my big toe was hitting unpadded area in front and on top. I went with Salomon with no regrets- did a rugged terrain long hike the very next day right out of the box.

This is my 4th pair of Oboz. I love these boots. I work for the Post office and the lightweight, nonbulky hightop are perfect for everyday, all day wear. I've also used them for hiking and boulder climbing....they have amazing tread and give me sure footing.
