  • Heavy-duty metal frames and good Prizm lenses (cheaper alternative to polarized-lenses)
Color: Matte Black/Prizm Black Lens Width: 61 Millimeters
I like them - they are all black rounded aviator-like frames and lenses. And they don’t feel cheap at all - good heft to them. These are replacing my old Oakley Plaintiffs. That’s a huge step up, yes, but I wear Spy as well. I like the styles Oakley makes though, so I picked these up. To talk about the Prizm lenses and their effect - it’s noticeably NOT polarized, and no one should expect them to be. Prizm is different but not at all bad in comparison to polarized lenses. In full sunlight outside, it definitely helps contrast darker colors and edges. To describe it from my unique-visual experience; everything looks a slightly bit reddish-brown. Shadows are darker. So in overcast skies, it was a bit too dark for my liking. But in full sun, I have no complaints - everything appears clear and I have no glare/strain from the bright light of the day. Everyone’s eyes are different, so take this with a grain of salt 😎 That said, I have yet to get sweaty in them and see how well they hold up to a sweaty bald head - I imagine they’ll slip off, but there are grippy ear-slip pads, which don’t seem more than standard. In comparison to Spy’s “happy lenses technology,” Prizm is far superior (sorry Spy!). I was wearing Spy Montana frames with “happy lenses” and will now never go back… ... show more

  • So good I bought them twice
Color: Lead/Prizm Black Polarized Lens Width: 61 Millimeters
I bought a pair of these almost 10 years ago and they held up well. I replaced the ear socks once and recently replaced the lenses. The lenses were in good shape except I got a pretty bad scratch in the center of my vision that was bothering me. They held up well over the years. I took pretty decent care of them, but also wore them a lot for everyday use, the beach, camping, canoeing, hiking, running, etc. I suspect the original pair I had would have lasted a long time. Unfortunately, someone stole them out of my truck. So, I bought a new pair to replace them, since I liked the first pair so much. The lens quality is great, very clear and crisp. They are sturdy. I bent on of the arms replacing the ear socks and it went right back in place (I was really afraid it would snap). I would definitely recommend these. ... show more

  • Great deal!
Color: Matte Black/Prizm Black Lens Width: 61 Millimeters
It was a little tight on my big head but overall the glasses feel much more durable than the cost would lead you to expect. Fit and finish is great

  • A little snug
Color: Lead/Prizm Black Polarized Lens Width: 61 Millimeters
Great glasses. Nice quality lenses with a good look. Just a little tight around the temples. Not meant for my big skull, I guess.

  • Great shades!
Color: Matte Black/Prizm Black Lens Width: 61 Millimeters
Awesome set of sunglasses for the price. They are real Oakleys and fit as such. Nice construction and quality materials. They are Prizm lenses but they are NOT polarized! This may be a pro or con to certain people but the color quality of prism lenses is there with standard UV protection but lacking the added comfort of polarized lenses. ... show more

  • Typical Oakley
Color: Matte Black/Prizm Black Lens Width: 61 Millimeters
I almost solely own Oakley sunglasses for all of my sunglasses. I love the quality of the materials, the optics, and mostly the styling. But this is where you may want to be aware of these sunglasses. They aren’t the typical aviator style glasses like you might imagine. The lenses are a tad smaller than the oversized lenses you get on most aviators, and they wrap around your face rather that sit flat on your face like most aviators. Basically they are a sportier, “oakleyfied” version of aviators. If you want Oakleys but a more traditional aviator style, then look at the Contrails. ... show more
