Got it for my (soon to be) 5 year old (42lb). It fits just right I will add the strap that goes between the legs tho. The life jacket is designed short (I think) so when the kid sits down the jacket doesn't lift up and squeeze his neck. Definitely not a youth size. This thing is tiny. Bought this for an 11 year old, normal height, thinner side type of build. It looked like he was trying to wear a 5T shirt. The distance around was fine, but the length was not. Had to return.

I ordered the black, red and gray one in a youth 50-90lb life jacket. The top strap/buckle is very snug on my son with no more strap to loosen. The others straps are at about half way will plenty of more strap to loosen. He wears a size 10 (M), weighs 71lbs and is 4ft. He does have broad shoulders and a wide chest but he is in the middle for weight on this life jacket. Not sure why that top strap is so short with no growing room. Maybe it's the brand ... show more
