Have only used once, but it is really well made and I have a degree in fashion design. It does smell a little like marijuana, but I am sure that will go away after a few uses. It kept my son a lot warmer in the beginning, but once the water had plenty of time to drop his body temperature he got cold again. But is I kept him moving, jumping, etc. he was happy. Also I figured out that I can hold him by grabbing a chunk of the zipper section on the back with my hand and then he could swim with his arms freely instead of trying to cling to me and he liked this. The swim class is about 50 min and I'd say he didn't start getting cold until 3/4 of the way through. My son is about 36" and weighs 26 lbs. size 1 fits him perfectly, not too tight, just a little bit of wiggle room. ... show more

My 3 year old grandson wears this wetsuit when he goes for swim lessons. He loves it, and it may help him with his lessons. The wetsuit has proven itself to be sturdy, and the fit is very good.

My child hatted swim class until I bought this. She stays warm not and can actually pay attention in swim class. Easy for her to move in, and take off. I put in the washer after swim only on rinse and spin cycle and keeps chlorine smell out.

purchased a size 2 for our two year old. he is 32" tall and weighs about 27 pounds. It fit well and we are expecting it to fit him for another year. He wore it when playing in a lake in mid michigan in early june. the water was pretty cold but as long as he was running and playing he did pretty well. I would have never let him in the water without the suit on. we also purchased a pair of the boots for him and I would highly recommend that for anyone dealing with colder water. 5 minutes of playtime extends closer to 30 minutes even with the suit only being 2 mm. i think anything thicker would restrict his movement and we wouldn't want to wear it. I rarely write reviews but felt that this purchase was well worth the 50 bucks. If you are looking for ways to protect your little one from sun and wind this suit works well. ... show more

Absolutely perfect for the splash pad, the pool, or the lake. Very well made, offers whole-body UV protection, and keeps our little one warm (both in and out of the water). We just got back from a holiday where we spent quite a bit of time at the beach, and I can't tell you how many people asked us where we got this. [Lots of the other toddlers were cold after 10 minutes in the water and needed to get dried off immediately after coming out, but our little one was able to wander in and out of the water all afternoon] In terms of sizing: The size 1 is a tad big on our 18 month old daughter (who is a lean 22 lbs.), but we have just been rolling up the legs and sleeves a bit, which works fine...and who knows, it may even fit her next year. Even though we ordered this from Canada (and therefore had to pay a ton of extra shipping and duty), I would order another one immediately if this one ever got lost. I purchased this wet suit for my 2 year old daughter. She is skinny and tall, 22 lbs. I purchased the size 1 and it fits nicely with room to grow. Length wise is comes to about 1 inch above her ankles. Before she would shiver in the pool after only 15 min. Now she can do her 30 min lesson without an issue. The suit also gives a bit of buoyancy which helps with confidence. There is a slight odour when the suit is wet. Nothing unbearable and no reason to return or not purchase. I will be buying more of these as my kids grow! ... show more

I bought the size 3 for my 3 year old son. He's 36" tall 32 lbs, the wetsuit was a little too long for him from the torso but that's exactly what I wanted since he is in swimming lessons all year round I want him to wear it in the fall and winter. The wetsuit looks like it's made out of good quality and kept my son very warm in low 70 degree weather, but the reason I gave it 4 starts is that it has a very strong odor. When I received the package I placed the wetsuit in my son's room. His entire room smells like the wetsuit. Even after hand washing it and hang drying it the smell does not seem to go away. ... show more

This suit is awesome. It fits my 4 year old perfectly (well a touch big but she is growing fast). It smells the way wetsuits smell when they are new. The colors are beautiful and she loves it.
