Got this for my 8 month old last summer and used it on my mom's boat. He held up in it longer than I thought he would as it wasn't tight against his neck and it was breathable. He did not look uncomfortable in it. For reference, my son was 18-20 lbs at that time.

We really like using this life jacket for our two month old. It’s very sturdy and adjustable. He started wearing this at one month old, we haven’t had an opportunity to put him in the water with it so I don’t know how well he floats. But it appears to be a normal infant life jacket.
