Great pair of skis for teaching kids how to ski. I bought them for my grandkids and in one day we got a 6, 8, 9, and 11 year old up on skis.... THE VERY FIRST TIME THEY WERE ON SKIS. The system is great in that the skis/crossbar are attached to a rope which is held by an adult who is on the boat. Another small rope with handle is attached the crossbar which is held by the child. All the child has to do is hold on to the rope with handle and the boat does the rest. You start from shore in about 1 ft of water so there is no having to be in the middle of the lake or deep water. The crossbar at the front of the skis and the bungee cord at the back of the skis prevent the skis from flaring out.     • Great beginner skis
Took my daughter about 6 trys to get up on these and that was holding the handle instead of attaching the rope to skis. My biggest complaint is the screw knobs that hold the bar on across the skis, tend to come loose. No matter how hard I tighten them, they constantly have to be checked and re tightened. Its only a matter of time before one comes off and heads to bottom of lake. Hopefully the kids won't need the bar by then. Suggest getting some thread locker to put on them. My kids complained a little that the boot was scratching them on top of foot, seems very stiff, but they quickly got over that. ... show more

I seldom provide product reviews, but I’m very happy with this product. Our niece and nephews (ages 7, 8, and 10) visited us and asked to water ski ... they had zero previous experience. I have two pair of O’Brien adult skis and these kid skis had good reviews. The 7 year old got up the first day and was able to ski. Improvements for three days in a row for all kids ... by day 3 everyone is getting up quick, skiing for 2-3 minutes a time, and able to get the skis on by themselves. *** Really like the training rope. Returned these skis because the shipment was missing key components, i.e., the two fasteners that hold the training bar between the skis. This fault resulted in a missed opportunity for a out of state family member who will be too big for these skis next year.
