I really liked this product. The powder is super fine and smooth and it went on like silk, literally. The color was a good match. The longevity was incredible; I'd worn it in the heat and humidity of NYC summer and nothing budged. Coverage is more on the light to medium side thought, although minimally buildable you wouldn't really be able to cover the tough stuff like pigmentation. However, the main issue is in the ingredients. I have been paraben free for decades now, and I wasn't really expecting an on trend brand to still be making products using parabens. But then maybe that's why NYX discontinued this product?? Unfortunately dispite the good performance I had to give this compact away.

Some reviews talk about this like it's not foundation, but it is. Just read the item description or top of the product. The container is great! It's a round compact with a mirror under the lid and two levels to the bottom: makeup on top and an application disc. It feels rather spongy as opposed to a powder puff. There are also some recessed squares underneath the disc. The foundation itself is also great. You can choose to put on a little or a lot and it all looks great. The finish is wonderful with obviously no shine or micro glitter. Thanks to findation dot com I was able to plug in a known good shade from another brand and figure out the equivalent here. Highly recommend!

Buying makeup online without sampling first is always scary. This is the second or third time I've purchased this powder and it works fine. I have very oily skin and I do not wear foundation. I need something that works well, keeps the shine to a minimum and provides some coverage. This powder does all that. As far as coverage, it's average. If you need full coverage, this may not be the best option to use alone. My work days are long, averaging about 13 hours. I apply this in the morning and depending on the activity during the day, I will reapply once in the afternoon. As far as shading, it's pretty much standard. I have been a medium beige for a few years with a few different powders (I also like Neutrogena Healthy Skin Powder) however, this last powder seems just a hint lighter than before. I would expect that during the summer months but not after the winter. The change is not drastic and blends well anyway. I would suggest to buy the shade you are used to. The sponge is better than most and is kept separate from the powder. Overall, this is a good powder that provides medium coverage, is not cakey and works well with oily skin.
