Perfect color to replace my favorite Maybelline 907 Brazen Berry. Little waxy at first then smooth on the lips. I love it so far. Never bought a NYX brand before don't know how it will wear. Fingers crossed. ❀

Nice quality, color is different from online but still nice. Since its summer and things are really hot here, upon getting this I immediately put the lipstick in the fridge for a half hour, that way it doesn't break. Would suggest that customers follow suit to prevent any unnecessary issues.

    • Beautiful Lipstick if you can get the tube to work.
This is a very beautiful color, and I am very happy with it. But like the other reviews said, the tube is defective. I had to give it whack in order to get it to out, and it still does not function well. NYX needs to revamp the mechanism that makes the lipstick move up or change the tube design.

I'm really disappointed with the NYX "Satin Lipstick" and glad I only bought 1 to try it out. When I opened the lipstick lid, the lipstick wouldn't come out no matter how much I twisted. Finally after 20 minutes, I got it to come up. The color was dark, but looked more like clay than lipstick, no satin finish there. I thought maybe once it was on, it would melt or something. But, once I put it on, and I had to use several swipes to get the product on my lips, I looked at totally matte color. And the product was hard to put on, the texture was like sticky dough, and really didn't blend evenly no matter how many times I put a kleenex between my lips to blot it. I will no longer buy NYX products and wouldn't recommend this to anybody. It was on sale, but I think a drugstore lipstick would have been a better investment of my money and I would have gotten a wearable lipstick. ... show more

    • A LA MODE is NOT a "Yellow Nude"! It's a PEACH Nude...
I wish .Amazon product descriptions were more accurate. I have medium olive skin and am faux tanned. I wear a smokey eye, so pale nude lips are my fave. I have a massive collection of nude lippies. A LA MODE is described as a YELLOW NUDE, but it is not. It is a PEACH Nude, and yes that matters. I love Nude lipsticks, but I must have 30+ peachy nudes. I didn't need, nor want, another one. If you are familiar with MAC Cosmetics, a YELLOW nude would be akin to MAC SISS my most beloved, and now discontinued yellow nude. I was hoping A LA Mode would be a replacement, but it is not. A pale or light yellow nude is a camel beige type of color. It is very unique and hard to find. Peachy nudes are a dime a dozen. If Mac Cherish and Mac Myth had a baby, you get Nyx .A LA Mode. On a pale skintoned blonde, A LA Mode would be a nice medium toned warm beige and could even be worn with a nude eye look. On olive skin or deeper? You will definitely need a verrrrrry dramatic smokey eye to not look washed out. I wish NYX would come up with a true YELLOW toned beige nude/light camel beige nude lipstick (aka Mac Siss dupe!). They used to have a shade called NYX ECHO, but it was more of a paperbag light brown nude, than a camel beige. :/ NOT super flattering.... If you are looking for a light peachy nude, try A LA Mode. I have this lipstick in the color "Wife Goals", which I purchased, and another shade of red I recently received in a beauty box. This will be specific to Wife Goals. It is a very nice blue-red, exactly the sort of cool-toned red that I need. It goes on smoothly and seems creamy. I didn't find it drying. I used a red lip liner with it, since I can find reds messy to apply, perhaps more so as I've aged. I am also quite far from a makeup pro. I took this photo the first time I wore it out. It seemed to last ok, aside from when I ate oily pizza and repeatedly wiped my lips with napkins. That's like makeup remover, so it's to be expected. It will transfer if rubbed against, but that is the case with any normal lipstick. I just wanted to be clear on that, though it's not a criticism. It's not marketed as anything else, and it's certainly no worse in that regard than most lipsticks of its type, including brands that are much more expensive. It's a very nice lipstick, nice color, at a great price. No complaints. ... show more
