Wow. I was looking for a soft pencil that had staying power and a complimentary color for my skin...and this is it! The pencil is soft and goes on smoothly without pulling my eyelid. It literally lasts all day whether I use an eye lid primer or not. And the color, Deep Purple, is absolutely perfect if you're looking for something softer than black, but different than gray. It's a wonderful, muted color--very classic. Some of the purple colors out there are just that--way out there! Suited more for teenagers or extreme drama. This brand and their color Deep Purple is lovely, not too blue and not too bright. (My skin tone is a medium shade.) I love this beautiful purple eyeliner! It's a very pretty color and shows up very well. It goes on smooth and doesn't smudge. It's a very skinny point but you don't have to push down very hard to get it to show up. I have brown eyes and this adds a bit of a pop. I only put liner on the lash line so I don't know how well it does on the water line. It's definitely a nice change from black and brown! Instead of using the bright white that the young girls use, I got this gold and it looks really good with my greenish gold eyes. This mechanical eyeliner applies smoothly and easily. That’s probably my favorite feature of this product. There’s not crumbly or cakey texture, and it’s fairly simple to remove mistakes and reapply correctly to achieve your desired look. I like that it’s not heavy, but it’s almost too lightweight. This eases the application, but compromises its longevity. I find it smudging and/or completely melting away on humid days. At any rate, I don’t think it’s lasted for me much past 4-5 hours. If I’m out longer, I have to bring it and reapply. Overall, this is a decent value for your money. It’s a bright pigment that’s also subtly stated enough to incorporate into a day or night look. The blue is so pretty. Some blues are so dark that they look more black and others are too bright and distracting. This one is subtle and looks very nice on. I think it would be good for all skin tones.
