I bought this black liquid lipstick for Halloween and it did not disappoint. They've called it "liquid Lipstick" but this would be more aptly named a "stain" because that's what it is. It goes on easily with an applicator that is easy to control and maneuver. It was easy to apply properly the first try and I did not have to go back and fix any of it. And boy, did it stay on. I applied it around 6pm. Then went on to eat, drink, snack, talk, use a napkin, laugh, storm the neighborhood, and participate in any number of Halloween shenanigans. At the end of the night I looked in the mirror and that lipstick did not budge. And it didn't come off easily... I still had traces of it on the next day. It was impressive. If your desire is long-lasting, black-as-night lips, this is your product.

I've ordered this in 4 colors so far and love all but one! Very long lasting, easy to apply and a great matte finish. Some of the colors are fairly close in shade so I think it would be better if NYX created more variation between them. I got the Sizzlin' (oxblood red) and that one has a very strange consistency. I actually ordered it twice because the seal was broke on one but both had the same issue where the color separates while applying. So you get clumps of deep red with some lighter red base. There's no way to fix it so its unusable. If you want a deep red, just find a different brand I suppose. That said, I've had to have tubes of this replaced twice after receiving open and obviously used product, despite the no return policy. I've had tubes come with broken tape seal, ripped open plastic outer packaging so just check your product before putting it on your face. Amazon will replace it if you message them.

i haven't done like a longwear test yet but i did try it on and it's very pretty. it's got good pigment very opaque. it's very very low-transfer but it isn’t 100% no transfer. maybe i didn't let it dry long enough before i tested that though. it doesn't really smudge. the other reviews were right that it does feel tacky after it dries so if that's a big sensory issue for you i'd avoid it. i like the fragrance personally it's like a vanilla coconut type smell i think. you can't smell it anymore once it dries down though and it does dry down quickly. it was fairly east to take off with micellar water + facial cleanser. i was gonna get sunset makeup's black liquid lipstick but this was a few dollars cheaper and the reviews didn't deter me. i like it overall :^)

Wore this all night, stayed out for the most part. Had to reapply a few patches but that might just be from me biting my lips a lot. I love the smell. Smells like cupcakes to me. Only took me one or 2 coats for full pigment. Definitely waterproof. Best affordable black liquid lip I've tried so far.

Absolutely love this lipstick. I can wear it all day and it does not smudge or come off. The only downfall is if you need to reapply because you ate or drink a lot to make a little bit of it where you need to remove it all before you reapply or it gets a little cakey

This picture is approximately 20 hours after application. Lasted through my wedding ceremony, the hibachi reception, two panic attacks and a sleepless night with NO. MOVEMENT. WHATSOEVER. Didn't even come off during kissing and eating. If that doesn't speak to the astronomical stability of this product, I don't know what will. Definitely will be buying again and recommending to friends.

I got black for my Halloween costume and it was nearly impossible to smudge. It is long lasting, great color, and now I'm buying more colors. The only downside was that my lips felt kind of dry from it but a good lip care routine prior to applying should help.

I loved the color, exactly what I was wanting. It feels like lipgloss when you first put it on, but once it dries it will stick on forever! I scrubbed my lips in the shower and used makeup wipes, it took getting a textured rag to actually wipe it off! It smells amazing and I'm happy to have a lipstick I can actually eat and drink in without smearing.
