These boat cleats are small sized and appear to be sturdy. I am using them on my fishing kayak for tie down points to a dock. For this use they are the right size, light weight, and appear to be a good quality material. As with anything that will be exposed to the elements, mainly the sun, the durability of the cleats is an unknown. When I ordered these cleats, I did know that the attachment hardware were not included. So that in itself is not a con. What is a con is that there were no recommendations for the size of bolts or screws needed for installation of the cleats. Such a recommendation would have been very helpful in getting the cleats installed. Four cleats were included in the package. I only needed two, but I plan on using the other two as hooks in my trailer. They will work perfect for that application. ... show more

I installed these on my utility trailer to better tie down whatever I am hauling. The nylon cleats work great. I use various knots that pull a lot of tension on the rope. After about 30+ loads, they have not failed. Love the price and how they have performed.

You will need screws for these. They did not come with screws. It’s just the 4 pack of cleats itself. Otherwise you just screw or bolt in and you’re good to go. They haven’t ripped apart or broken. No weak spots so far in them either. Decently sized and lightweight but strong.

These dock cleats are easy to install. I used 2-inch stainless steel oval head machine screws to attach the cleats to my aluminum dock. These are well made, but definitely not meant to hold a larger boat to a dock. I am using one to hold the rope for my bird feeder and it works perfect for that. The price is right for what they are.

've been needing something to serve as tie-down points in the back of my pickup, and these do the trick. They're small enough to stay out of the way when not in use, and strong enough to tie my loads down easily. I don't have a standard truck bed, so the usual options you see out there won't work. I have a set of truck bed drawers made out of some kind of polymer, so I needed nylon tie-downs like these. They were easy to install. These are just like small boat cleats - pretty low-tech. I suppose you could go stronger by using metal, but at this price, I think these will handle any light to medium-weight jobs you throw at them.
