First off, this mask is exactly what you think it should be and works phenomenally well at that. It keeps your eyes and face fully ventilated, even on the first level 1 fan setting, the battery lasts a pretty decent amount of time and charges quickly with usb-c, everything about this is pretty great and what I hoped for. There's only 2 main flaws with this. 1) Because of the height of the facemask, where the battery/cooling stuff is on top sticks out pretty far, which doesn't affect wearing or use of the headset, but it DOES affect storing the headset in any kind of Meta-branded quest storage case. I use a meta quest storage case for my quest 3 because it's super solid and hard so I don't have to worry about my 2 year old hitting or breaking my headset, but it can't fit in that case with this mask on, which is kind of a dealbreaker for me unfortunately. 2) This mask doesn't fit larger faces very well. I'm 6' 3" 290lbs, so I'm not a small guy and I have a pretty large head, and I think this face mask is just ever so slightly smaller than the normal Meta Quest facemask it comes with, however, because of that it does kind of feel like I'm trying to cram my eyes/face into a smaller face mask than what I'm used to using, which I don't love. Now I know both of the "flaws" I mentioned above won't affect everybody using this, so definitely keep that in mind, if you have a smaller head or the normal quest facemask fits you perfectly then this should work, and if you don't use a meta quest official case then you should be good to, but for me the two of those issues means this won't be my usual daily-driver facemask for my meta quest 3. Overall though, this thing is really well designed, works great, is pretty quiet, is insanely comfortable on the eyes with the new airflow, and attaches and stays on well to the quest, so I give it a 9/10, definitely recommend, as long as you don't think either of the previous flaws I mentioned will affect you.

Works well to keep you cool while playing. The nose piece is uncomfortable on this and it is held by only 2 plastic pieces that it easily slides off of. So that is a bit annoying. You must keep this charged to use so either you have an extra plug in to charge this too, or you have to remember to charge this as well. The unit does have a good visual of the power level on it. But, you must remember to charge that consistently as you see it when you turn it on ready to use your VR. Overall, it does the job well. My biggest annoyance is the nose piece.

This cooling fan accessory for the Quest 3 is a game changer, the fan and face pad is all one piece, so it was very easy to attach to the VR, the fan has 3 speeds and I was surprised at how quiet the fans are even on speed 3, the one feature I really like is that this cooling fan actually has 2 fans built in to it, so it actually circulates the air in and out of the space between your face and the VR screen, I also like that all 3 fan speeds are a gentle airflow, so the airflow is not a bother to your eyes while gaming, the fans also work really well at keeping the VR lens and my eyeglasses from fogging up; the fans also keep your face pretty cool, so there is very little to no sweat on your face or around your eyes, I also like that the face pad frame has a knob on each side to adjust the distance between your face and the VR screen and when the distance is adjust to the maximum it will go, there is plenty of room for me to wear my glasses comfortably, I was also very happy that I was still able to use my aftermarket headstrap with the fans, the battery life on the fans is pretty decent, I can get roughly 2 hours or so on speed 3 and a good 3 plus hours on speed 1, all in all I am very happy with the overall performance of this cooling fan unit, it definitely makes a big difference when using my Quest 3 and in my opinion it's a good value for the price.

I ordered the cooling fan, as I thought it would be a nice accessory to have for gaming. I am recovering from surgery so I am not playing my Meta Quest 3 much at the moment. The fan was partial charged when I received it, so I have not charged it. The nose piece was also already in place, so I wiped down everything with an alcohol swab as a precaution. I was good with the fit and flow of the fan (while just sitting and not gaming). The install made me a little nervous as this was the first time removing the face pad. But after a couple of times, I found it easy enough. I was concerned about the adjusting knobs on each side, but it is workable. Taking my time with adjusting, I was able to get the face pad to fit comfortably. Depending on your game play and your airflow needs, this fan can probably handle the basics. A more powerful fan may be need for exercise programs. The carry case I got before ordering the cooling fan will not accommodate the height of the cooling fan. I will need to look at a larger carry case.

One of my main issues with the quest 3 is that it gets really sweaty around my eyes and then it drips in and stings. This does an effective job of keeping air moving around my face and prevents the heat. I did have to modify my battery strap with a dremel tool to fit the fan bump. With a stock strap this would be an improvement but with my battery strap it's awesome, I can alternately charge the fan and the headset with the backup batteries prolonging my play time indefinitely. The pads are really soft and do a decent job of not holding onto sweat.
