I definitely noticed an increase in her overall energy level! She loves to run around daily now! She used to be most active at night and even then it was very infrequent, it had seemed she was going into old lady mode (which is totally fine)! She really runs around like crazy now and seems so youthful. I also think it has made her coat much softer and shinier than the regular adult formula ever did! I like the ingredient list and my cats seem to enjoy the kibble. Smell is kinda strong and not good in my opinion, but it doesn't seem to bother my 2 cats. They come running everytime it's feeding time. It seems like they hack less than when they were eating other foods.

    • Only the Best for my Feline Family!
I have two cats, now 13 and 14 years old, respectively. My ex-gf got me started on feeding them Nutro when I got the first kitten years ago. The product has changed names a few times, now being called Nutro "Wholesome Essentials" - but it is essentially the same product, as for as I can tell. As an aside, I'm curious to see if there's much difference between this and the new "Grain Free" type that Nutro now offers. I started them out with Nutro for Kittens, then progressed to Adult and later the Indoor varieties, and in the last few years have been feeding them the Senior Indoor type. That said, I feel that feeding my cats Nutro has been one of the best decisions I've made for my little critters. While it's not uncommon for cats to develop feeding issues as they get older, my guys have always loved the Nutro I feed them every day. I give them about a teacup-full size portion daily, and I find that this makes a 14lb bag last about two months. In the entire time I've had them on this diet, my cats have never had any dietary issues or undue sickness or infection, at all. It's actually incredible to me that they've faired so very well, and I give no small amount of credit to the balanced nutrition they get from Nutro. ... show more

    • Our cat stopped over eating, and his litter smells much better!
We adopted a 16lb 7 year old cat and we didn't know what kind of eating habits that he had. The guy likes to eat, period! A 16 lb cat can, and will eat a lot and this immediately became an issue for us. We wanted something with natural ingredients and a best value for price per unit, to stretch our dollar. Previous foods he kept craving and whining for, telling me that there was something that was triggering his reward and compulsive centers that kept him meowing all hours for more in his bowl. With this brand, we feed him between 3/4 cup to 1 cup per day, once in the morning, and it sustains him until the next day. We are on par to get 2.5 months out of this 14lb bag which breaks down to $0.48 a day. Thats a good value in my book. Lastly, his stool. He has a habit of not covering his litter and while on other foods, there was a terribly foul odor coming from his pans. He still doesnt cover his litter, but since switching, we no longer wake up to a foul smell encompassing the entire first floor. Rather, a smell, coming from his litter box area. ... show more

I’ve been using this product for several years. My local grocery stopped caring it so I reached out to Amazon. I found a larger bag available, better pricing, and I don’t have to get out and go to the store. I have a 20-year-old cat, and once I switched her over to this food her coat, appetite, and stool returned do you what it was when she was 10 years old. I highly recommend this cat food for anyone with a senior cat. There are no digestion problems Or smelly cat litter with this food. ... show more
