Fit 2001 tundra v8 sr5. Cheaper than auto stores and dealer. Brand new, not rebuilt and no core fee. * Check with dealer with Vin number to be 100% sure fit your car. Auto stores waste your time with useless information. So far good. Have wait to see how long it last.

Start off with customer service. They don't return calls and don't return emails either. I purchased this alternator from db because the company is here in Tennessee. I installed the alternator and it works, but not right. The original alternator charged and did it job, this alternator surges. When I give my sequoia gas the lights go really bright. My old alternator didn't do this. It would stay the same. I took screen shot of the voltages. If you need a alternator, choose a different company. Update the surging has blown out one headlight and the front blower fan. I also wanted them to replace and they said Amazon has to handle it. The thing that really bugs me, replacing the alternator on a 2002 Toyota sequoia isn't easy. Yes it does give the company website for support, but they said, per Justin.     • I'm sure it would have worked but it's cracked and dented.
Arrived today, box was dented and taped over. Not the Amazon box, that box was undamaged and fine. The alternator itself was cracked and dented. I will return. I'm sure it would have worked but knowing the seller sold a product which was very fragile and either didn't inspect it (or did inspect it and didn't care) makes it very difficult for me to want to order from them again. ... show more

    • It works, BUT...
It is far from silent. Its pulley or bearings or something are very loud. The noise began after 3 days of use. Bummer. A lot of work to remove and replace personally, so I am not going to bother unless it dies. If this had been installed by a shop, I would have been back asking for them to try again. I was surprised. I always used DB Electric starters, and they are the best, but I am disappointed now that I have bought this alternator. I will stick with their other products. My original Toyota alternator lasted 20 years and 320,000 miles without ever making even the slightest noise. It died quietly. I would have bought oem Toyota based on how good it was, but I figured this Sequoia was not needing to serve me another 20 years. Hahaha ... show more

Bought this to replace one on a 2000 Tundra 4x4 V8. Showed up well packaged and no damage. Installed without issue and is a perfect replacement for the original one on my truck.
