I am as mad about the lids not being microwave or oven comparable. But that is what the description says, below make sure you read the last line. Each casserole dish with lid will be a powerful helper in the kitchen. NOTE: No direct fire or induction cooker. The lid is NOT oven/microwave oven safe. Now sure might be send back also. The size is nice and what I wanted, but bought it because it had a glass lid. If you can’t use it in the oven or microwave, it could’ve had a plastic lid half the price. Update I unpacked and read the pamphlet that came with it. Mine does not say the the glass lids are NOT oven/microwave oven safe. it only refers to the plastic lids picture attached ... show more

This is the perfect size to make, buttered petite potatoes in the microwave with garlic and herb seasoning for the two of us. I’ve had trouble with the square corningware casserole dishes cracking. This hasn’t done that.
