I started taking this when I found out that taurine may help your eyes. Eye doctors encourage people to take eye supplements, so I take this with lutein, zeaxanthin and bilberry, and have been doing so for years. Carrots help too. I was nearsighted in my childhood, and every member of my family wore glasses. I'm 68 now and my vision has improved, such that I haven't needed glasses for years.
