I used this to make protein smoothies nearly every day. I also make small batches of pesto in the summer with the blender attachment. For smoothies, put the milk in first. If you add powder or yogurt first it will attach to the bottom and not blend properly. Easy to clean.

I watched many reviews and when I got it was surprised there was no cup with a handle or any recipe ideas. Some reviews on You Tube showed it. Maybe they didn't have the combo set? Product is still an excellent product, just be careful what reviews you watch to know what to expect. Very loud, but not as loud as a Ninja. I will be returning! I really wanted to like this, however, I can not get the food processor to come apart or work on the base when it’s snapped in. I used the grinder to grind up seasonings and now I can not get the powder out of the grinder itself even washing it and using my sprayer in it to try and force it out between the rim and plastic cup is not budging. It didn’t blend my avocado up completely either this morning when I used it for my smoothie, which is ultimately the reason I decided to upgrade from my 25+ year old blender. Guess I’m sticking with it at least I can screw regular mason jars on the blade and less dishes. ... show more

I've waited for a blender like this to come out. I also just waited for the price to go down before I jumped at the chance to snatch one. Then after I snatched one and used it I purchased another one for my girlfriend so that she can enjoy making smoothies, choping/slicing veges quickly with the food processor, and making coffee with the coffee bean grinder. I also wanted to make sure I had access to her machine to make smoothies at her place while I'm there lol (but don't tell her that !) Everything works so well and not as noisy as the last version because the blades are made of Titanium and are coated to blend with ease and less vibration. This version should receive a prize for product innovation, multi-function, quality and appeal while standing on my counter tops always ready for whatever I make it do for me. I enjoy using it over and over in many different ways. Also able to make my favorite cashew sauce ! They made a winner in this product ! The quality definitely drew me in to purchase it right away. It's built tough but use it the way the instructions tell you to so you can have it for a very long time. It has a pulse function and 30 second blade spin count and it looks so sleek on .y counter top ! A winner in my book.
