  • Workhorse/will last: note on warrenty and hand strength
This is my second nutribullet. I'm going to provide you information for both for context. My first Nutribullet I purchased in 2012. I couldnt tell you the exact model anymore as I gave it away when I purchased my new one. I took this thing everywhere as I traveled for a living and I found making morning smoothies kept me in a solid rhythm. I could easily pack this thing for travel. (It was a tad heavy so I had to be more creative with what else I packed: but worth it.) It worked great. I never really had an issue. (Well, I did, but it's because I was doing the things I shouldn't, the issues were more: I snapped the tabs off my first cup somehow and had to dig them out. I think I had the cup oriented incorrectly. I also sometimes over filled it and it would leak so I had to clean it.) Eventually due to the dirt build up I used YouTube videos to pull it apart and clean everything except the motor as it was out of warrenty. This worked great and it served me well until last year when I decided it seemed the motor was struggling a bit finally. (I work this thing with frozen objects and probably run it longer than I should without pulsing. Don't be me. Just pulse it, it's not hard, I now do this with my new one.) I've given my old one away and it's still chugging away at my friends home. Now. For the version attached to this post. I purchased this last year and it's SO NICE. The oomf of the motor really does the job and my smoothie blending time has been cut in half. Last week my cup got stuck in the device. Per the manufacturer they state this usually happens when people either force or overfill. After 10 years with my prior device I know that I did not do this. It popped/turned off right as I went to disengage, and I was unable to remove the assembly. To say that I was upset was an understatement. Note: This is under the year so I checked some recommendations and attempted a couple of them to get it unstuck, nothing major. Nothing worked. I could tell HOW it was stuck, and had some ideas on how I could release it...but not without voiding the warrenty. So I called. They were super helpful and nice. They did say I should not have tried anything without them, which is fair, I just usually have such a horrendous time with companies that I do basic troubleshooting myself first. 99.9% of the time I'm able to fix things with no damage done(that I know of, of course, but I'm fairly confident in my research skills.). Anyhow. Once we talked through everything and they confirmed my purchase/that it couldn't be fixed they did send me a new one. They did remind me what not to do which was annoying but I'm sure it's just policy. The odds this problem happens outside user error is probably fairly low. I get the feeling people overfill their blenders often. I do know I used new ingredients and there is non zero chance expanded in ways I did not expect during blending effectively causing the outcome of an overfill, but it's hard to know. Definitely underfill if you are using cream/dairy products. Of note: I did have to pay shipping...but $15 bucks is better than 90 and repeat items I don't need to have replaced as I do not use them anyway. I'd be annoyed at paying the shipping but all things considered, it's fine. If it happens again I'll definitely raise a stink. Long story short: these last a long time, warrwnty replacement team is kind and helpful, would buy again. Things to know: -Line up your tabs based on the instructions. (The square tab goes where the arrow is pointing) -Pulse in the beginning even if you don't think you need to, it will save your motor. Which won't necessarily die but.... keep your oomf for when you need it! -Don't over fill. Maybe even underfill a little to account for unexpected expansion. (use the bigger cup!!! -Watch for the stripping in the cap coming loose. When it does start to loosen your definitely want to remove and wash that area fairly regularly. Replacing it properly is annoying and really important. If you struggle with getting it placed: just buy a new blender cap. Should be able to buy OEM here or from Nutribullet directly. Reminder: 3rd party items will void warranties if you use them but there are great replacement parts all over Amazon I used on my original device without issue. -Keep your device clean as recommended. It will absolutely pay for itself in longevity. Final note: if you have difficulty with your fingers/wrists/hands (ie arthritis or older) this device might be difficult to use. You definitely want the cap firmly on, it will tighten while blending and can sometimes be difficult to open. I can recommend silicone grip pads to help especially when there is condensation from cold ingredients. If your fingers work properly curling your fingers over the ridge of the cap helps immeasurably. ... show more

  • Best blender I’ve purchased
Color: Clear Size: One Cup
I have hated my other blenders. My ninja and other brands did not get it done. The models I’ve bought in the past did not work well, were hard to clean, etc. i love this one! Great for my morning smoothies. All ingredients get incorporated. No weird lumpy mess. Easy to rinse it out and air dry. Can do a deeper wash in the dishwasher when needed. Worth the money. Get it. ... show more

  • Perfect for smoothies, protein shakes, and even quick sauces
Color: Clear Size: One Cup
The media could not be loaded. Honestly, I’m obsessed with this Nutribullet! 🤍 It’s super easy to use and blends everything so smoothly — from frozen fruits to nuts, no problem at all. I love how quick it is, especially in the mornings when I don’t have much time. In just seconds, I have a perfect smoothie with no chunks. Plus, it’s compact and easy to clean, which is a HUGE plus for me. ... show more

  • SUPER and FABULOUS
Color: Clear Size: One Cup
So amazing and perfect for what I wanted! I live alone and usually only make one serving of smoothie for myself but definitely get the 2 cup option cause idek how you would fit a normal amount of stuff in a smaller cup. Super easy to operate and clean. The only thing that is stupid is the lid that comes with that is supposed to make the cup double as a bottle to drink from. The lid is probably the most un-ergonomic thing to drink out of ever, but still works in emergencies when I don't have anything else. ... show more

  • A fancy blender to give you cognitive dissonance
This past spring, my husband and I got on a much needed health kick. We decided to incorporate daily smoothies into our new kick and the 20 year old blender we have wasn't cutting it. After a lot of research, we went with the NutriBullet Pro. Since May of 2018 I have been making 32 ounce smoothies every morning for the two of us. I've never used ice but I do blend frozen fruit just about every day including hard as rock strawberries. I add water or coconut milk as the liquid, always up to the fill line, you can add more after your initial blend if you need to. Some Pros and Cons: Pros: -Very easy to use -Convenient - makes me want to make smoothies every morning which is great -Small, takes up very little space/storage space -Powerful, will blend just about everything Cons: -Super difficult to clean! You'd think it's just soap and water and that's it! No. These plastic cups stain and hold smells just like any plastic food container. The four ridges that run down the cups to aid in blending, forget it. I use a green scrubby, a bottle brush and a regular sponge to get these areas clean and that's after a nice super hot water and soap soak. Still doesn't get them clean all the way. Seeds, little bits of fruit and veggies get caught up in there. I use a toothpick to really scrape them down if I need too. Toothpicks have quickly become my friends. A yellow tint has formed on both cups - they are stained and you can smell the 'leftovers'. I've tried all the tricks, the dishwasher just bakes it on so it's not worth putting these in the dishwasher. -The Blades: Cleaning the blades is fun. I clean this part right after I blend. If you use chia seeds, they will stick to the plastic. The blade also has a gasket, this gasket will pop out when you try to remove the cups from the blender if there is too much resistance. You'll have to either smush the smoothie covered gasket back into place or clean the entire thing before blending again. I recommend cleaning rather than smushing. Basically - if you blend anything that's too frozen or thick, the gasket tends to come dislodged and you will have to fight the blade cap to get it off the cup. Toothpicks help scrape the junk off the gasket and from the little tracks around it as well. When you do finally get the blades off the cup, you'll hear a little 'phizzzzz' letting you know there was some pressure building up in there. Please google bullet explosions for details on that one. Whatever you do, don't hold it by the plastic cup's top while blending. Always hold it by the base for obvious safety reasons. -Travel Caps: These are an awesome nightmare. Great for travel, my husband tosses his cup with this cap into his backpack, he takes his motorcycle to work. Never a spill, the cap's mouth piece locks perfectly and tight. The rubber gasket in the mouth piece part is easy to clean, pop it out with a fork tine to give it a good wash. The gasket around the base of the lid is a bit tougher to clean. Like the blade gasket, these are just overall really difficult to keep clean in general. The lid gaskets are also tough to get out to clean. Again, toothpicks are great for scraping the junk here. -Timer: No timer so you have to watch the clock to make sure you're not over-blending. No biggie the only downside is the longer you blend, the more pressure you have leading to potential problems. YOU DO NOT WANT TO BLEND MORE THAN 60 SECONDS! Seriously. Be careful. -If you blend heavy stuff or really frozen stuff, the blades tend to stick. Stop the blades, add more liquid and try again. I found this to be the best solution. Sometimes you'll be like, What the Heck? I don't have anything in there that should be causing this issue!? And you really don't! It's just the nature of the beast. Try the add more liquid deal, it's not failed me yet. -Oh last thing - bad UX design of the cups 'Max' line. It's in black and it's so hard to read once you fill the cup up. Unless you have it full of lightly colored food and liquid that is. If you're like me and use a lot of leafy greens and veggies and darker fruits - good luck. I will spin that cup around looking or the 'max' line over and over again. My husband will stand there watching like it's a game until one of us screams - I see it! The prize? A smoothie! Another one in a lighter color elsewhere on the cup would be super helpful. A larger line would be helpful as well. I can see how someone could easily overfill the cups because of this. Please don't let my cons persuade you against buying it though. I do really like our NutriBullet and it's been wonderful to have fresh smoothies every morning, we've noticed the positive difference to our health over all. So far, everything has run smooth enough for me not to hate the thing, it just bugs me a little but so does the dishwasher and the fridge so... The pros far outweigh the cons and my biggest complaints are cleaning ones, not function or quality. If you take care of your NutriBullet and follow the blending guide, it should last you a few years. That's not to say there are defective ones out there! It happens. I would recommend this to friends and family and I have. Of course I do tell them what my cons are, what kind of friend or family would I be if I didn't? In general, none of these machines are perfect, they all have their issues. What it really comes down to is what is right for you. For us, this a great little machine that hasn't failed us yet. ... show more
