I bought this one for the nursing bedroom. I am 5"3 and up to 144 Lbs. (pregnant), but I never felt the right chair for me. It feels big, especially in the neck area, and my back is not relaxed. However, Husband loved it. He is 6'0" and 280 lbs. He uses for watching TV and naps. His neck and back support perfectly. Nice for him. Too bad for me. (I can't say that the material is very soft as pictures might show, but the color matches with our living room). If you are looking for a nursery chair, considering going to baby stores first. We absolutely love the Nurture & glider. So much so that we ordered their glider plus as well. This version is very comfortable and the power headrest and recline makes it so you can get jus5 the right position. I could honestly sleep in this thing. The plus version is really nice because it swivels and has a power lumbar support. This glider's only downfall is that the lumbar support is lacking. I bought one of their lumbar pillow thinking it would help, but it ends up getting sat on and in the way. Personally I would buy the plus version over this one, but for a lower budget this is a great option..I really like that I can plug my phone into the glider too. I wish there was a little pocket or something for your plugged in device and the cord though. ... show more

We haven’t had our baby yet. So it’s intention for use hasn’t been needed at the moment. I do however sit, recline and rock in the chair almost daily. I am 5’7 and I don’t mind having my feet on the floor to rock back and forth, but you’ll probably like to have some sort of stool still for your feet to rock from a more convenient position. Especially if you’re shorter than me. I know I will be getting one. So if that bothers you that you have to get yet another item, this chair is probably not for you. I know they have a swivel chair that has a stool, but it doesn’t recline. All in all it depends on your preferences. I prefer to have a powered reclining chair because I know if the baby does fall asleep in our arms, it will be easier to get back up from a reclined position rather than trying to not wake up the little one while struggling to push in the leg rest with our feet. The only thing I would change is to have the recline somehow move forward instead of just back towards the wall. We have to have it off the wall pretty far for it to recline fully and we don’t have the largest room. So it does take up quite a bit of space. That is the reason for the 4 stars as well as the price. It’s more than I would have liked to have spent but the sacrifice I was willing to take to have a piece of luxury and ease. Other than that, I’m a neutral person and I love this color grey. The fabric is super soft. I thought it was going to be rough because it is stain resistant and repels liquids. So that was a nice surprise. It was easy to set up and feels very sturdy. Very happy with our purchase so far. I will hopefully remember to update after our baby is born. ... show more

UPDATE August 2021 The creaking noise was because the chair back not seating properly. This was due to a screw in the female part of the joint which was not fully screwed in which was blocking the male part from going all the way in. See pictures. Otherwise, the chair is great and there is no more creaking. Leaving 4 stars because I had to discover and fix the creaking problem. ------------------ Decided to purchase the Nurture& glider over Pottery Barn kids mostly because we were able to get the glider delivered before the baby comes in September! Also, the adjustable head rest is an added bonus. Would have given 5 stars if it were not for the intermittent creaking noise (described below). Pros: * shipped fast and was not damaged * was easy to assemble * bottom section is heavy but fit through doors easily * the texture of the fabric is soft and comfortable (TBD in regards to durability) * fabric seems like it should be easy to clean (needs more trial, will follow up) * motor is pretty quiet * love the idea of the adjustable head rest although unsure about the utility Cons: * there is some intermittent creaking during the glider rocking action although its not consistent. The creaking seems to be coming from the area where the backrest fits together with the base. Going to try and re-attach the back rest to see if that helps (needs more trial, will follow up) ... show more

The chair we originally wanted sold out, so we started looking for another one. Since we were on a short timeline due to induction for complications, we ended up buying this chair. We are so glad we did. Easy to put together (bottom half is a bit heavy, so get help if you have stairs) and to use. My mostly torso 6’2” husband sits comfortably in it and so do I at 5’5”. The price tag may be a little off-putting; however, if you can afford it - get it (or put it on your registry so that family members/friends can get it for you). I didn’t realize I’d be spending so much time in a chair and my butt and lower back are so happy the chair is comfy. (And spit up cleans right off!) ... show more

The chair was easy to assemble, is soft and comfortable especially when reclined. The lumbar support is a little prominent but once the chair is reclined it flattens out a bit which I prefer. Doesn’t swivel, just rocks and reclines.
