UPDATE....so I have looked and looked and can’t find a laminator with a guide tray to help you get your stuff inserted into the unit so probably not fair for me to ding this unit for lacking that feature. Also, the replacement laminator I purchased (a 4-roller) is better re: bubbles & finished lamination is super shiney but for the difference in price, maybe others would be ok with this model. Loved the price, but… From a teacher’s point of view or someone who laminates to use with a Cricut, we laminate a lot of small items in our pouches and this laminator leaves a lot of bubbles and doesn’t seal close to the edge of the individual items. Also, there is no tray on the “in” side of the laminator so you have to babysit items going in otherwise the small items shift around in the pouch. And you have to babysit items coming out the backside. At least on that side there is a tray, but the edge of lamination will get waaaay hot and curl if you don’t remove it fairly quickly. Also, for some reason, on the upper right corner, it would grab and curl over the edge (after laminating). Re-laminating didn’t help with any of the issues. And I know it is the laminator because I used the pouches that came with the unit, tried the Amazon basic pouches I bought and also used the Scotch ones I bought at WM. WILL BE GOING BACK!!

I ordered this for school use as a teacher, and was thrilled with the price and the fact that it came with laminating sheets. I turned it on the first time and let it heat up for awhile, the Ready Light had been on for a good ten minutes before I began. I put my first sheet in (luckily it was a test and nothing important), and the sheet never came out the other side. I have no idea what happened to it, and I can't open the machine to try to find it or fix it. Junk. Will be returning and ordering something of more quality.

I love a good deal and this Nuova laminator bundle was just that! I own many Scotch laminators and have historically stuck with that brand, but the cost of this bundle was appealing. I purchased the bundle as a gift for a new teacher and she absolutely loved it! There is a hot and cold laminating feature. If you have not done much laminating, that means that the pouches you purchase depend on your purpose for laminating. If you are worried that a heat process would harm what you are laminating, you can opt for the cold process. I can't speak to the overall durability of the product over time, but the price and quality seem good. T

I am very happy with this compact laminator. It is easy to use, works just fine and looks great (stainless color with black trim). The manufacturer provides a toll-free # to call (if necessary although I haven't had any reason to call). The unit came with 50 sheets of lamination film. Good value! (NB. When turning unit on, the switch is on the right side toward the front - it is a three-position rocker switch. For hot laminating push it toward the rear of the unit. Push it toward the front for cold laminating - if the green light goes on right away you're in cold laminating mode and you won't get a seal for most laminating sheets).

Just got the unit and it works just fine so far. Would have gotten more stars, but I bought the bundled package with so called 50 sheets of "letter size" lamination pouches. Guess what, they are exactly 8 1/2 " wide by 11 7/8" long. Yes, you can laminate a standard letter size sheet of paper, but there is no laminate overlap on the long sides. The laminate seals to the paper, but because the edges don't extend beyond the long edge of the paper, there is no moisture barrier. How long before the laminated document suffers from water/moisture being sucked inside and ruined? So, buy the version w/o the bundle package (lower price) and then order pouches that list a size slightly larger than 8 1/2 x 11. I can still use the pouches I got for smaller items, but they need to stop calling them letter size.

This is the WORST laminator I have ever used. It jammed almost every time, mangling my students’ art projects.

This so called laminator is a total piece of junk. It does not laminate properly. Leaves large blisters and curves whatever you laminate. I wish that I had used mine right away so that I could have sent it back. I just ordered a different one from Amazon.

The media could not be loaded. The machine works fine without the rear plastic flap, but once you attach it - it blocks the exit slot which causes a jam and now I can’t get the laminate out of the machine. It has a button to release the jam, but it’s like a bridge to nowhere, IT DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! It’s very simple to use, it’s very cheap. Do not attach the rear flap!!
