I chose this model because I didn't want to be glued to my phone trying to press the button to get the bird picture - this one is motion sensitive. Unfortunately, sometimes it's a little too motion sensitive - I get 5K pics a day, and maybe a 1/4 are birds. I've tried moving to spots where it won't catch wind blowing leaves or whatever is setting it off, but it's the same in each location. I did break the mounting gear trying to mount it - I was too rough. The pictures are so cute! Not necessarily high quality gallery pictures - they're only 700KB - but just fine for looking. It needs charged daily, so bringing it in every night gets tiresome, and I try and clear off the card each night because it's sooo many to go through, but the pictures it takes bring me a lot of joy. ... show more

    • Had high hopes for this, but customer service is awesome!
UPDATE: Customer service contacted me and offered me a refund or a replacement. I took the replacement in hopes that it would work better. They told me they are working on a higher resolution replacement. I am leaving the 2 stars because the camera really isn't as good as it should be, but customer service was great. I bought this for my wife's birthday. We live in an area that has a TON of birds and she really enjoys watching them and learning about them. I thought this would be a home run. But every 3rd picture (literally every 3rd) is completely over exposed. The pics that aren't over exposed don't seem to match the resolution settings. I don't know if I got a dud or what, but I am very disappointed in the picture quality. If the seller would like to contact me about it maybe we can troubleshoot or something. The only other complaint I have is that it would be much more convenient to have the Micro SD card slot in the front of the camera rather than the back. When using the strap you have to completely remove the feeder from the tree to change out the card. ... show more

We had this and loved it for about 3 weeks then went to go clear the card after uploading what pics and videos we wanted and when to put the card back in and the device is not registering the card. It’s the same card that came with it, we even tried a new one and it’s not ready anything and will not work. I tried to message the seller but have not received a response. I was wondering if I could return as I believe it is defective or get a new one sent since this one is not working, but again no response. Love tue product and hate that it stopped working :( ... show more

For 2 weeks it took fantastic pictures of hummingbirds and finches. Now I can’t review photos. When I plug in the USB it gives the message “malfunctioned” and “USB not recognized.”

    • Instructions not very clear.
I was about to return bc I thought the display wasn’t working. In order for the display to turn on you need to hold the M (mode) button for quite a few seconds... probably 20 seconds or more and the display finally lights up. I’m glad I got frustrated enough to aggressively hold down the button. So far it seems decent for a $60 bird cam. ... show more

I am going to give it another day before choosing to return it. It is a tiny bird feeder (smaller than a water bottle) and does not hold a lot of feed. The pictures I'm showing here look ok, but the camera took 1800 pictures is just a few hours (yes eighteen hundred). All the other pictures were just pictures of trees - no birds. Seems anytime the wind came and the trees moved, it snapped pictures. The videos are AVI and I wasn't able to play them. The directions are not great. There are many settings that can be changed and the included directions don't list them all. I just pressed some random settings - hoping to improve the operation. The unit seems sturdy enough, and the cord to wrap around tree is great. The perch that the birds land on does not snap in place. So I've had to pick it off the ground and set it back on. I really wish the directions explained all of the settings. It was easy to charge and my computer was able to easily download the 1800 pictures. I hope that help! ... show more

    • Takes alot of pictures!
I bought this for my husband who likes to photograph the wildlife at our bird feeders with trail cams, especially at night. ( deer, skunks, rabbits etc.) He likes this camera and is still experimenting with it.
