I began looking into improving the quality of my two cats' health through diet with a freeze-dried food containing quality ingredients, and I tried this one (Turkey and Duck) since the cats are not allowed to have any fish or seafood due to urinary issues. I used the freeze-dried pellets three ways: (1) whole pellets, either dried or soaked in warm water, (2) dry crumbled with my fingers and mixed in with regular dry food, and (3) dry crumbled and then rehydrated to form a paste like pate wet food. With all 3 ways, I had one cat that loved the food, and the second cat (the picky one with the most urinary issues) who didn't like it. The cat that loved the food REALLY loved it - I stored it on the kitchen counter, and the cat would hop up there in the middle of the night and chew through the bag. Multiple times. I moved it, put it inside another plastic bag, but he chewed through everything to get to these "treats." Yes he is a pig, but it shows how some cats will go crazy for this. The other cat though wouldn't eat it any way. I even tried mixing it with her regular wet food but she wasn't very interested. So there you go. Yes, I think this is a quality product, and yes, I think I will buy again. But cats are picky and not all cats will eat this food and gain the benefit from it. ... show more

So I bought these haphazardly without reading the ingredients assuming they were simply raw [without vegetables]. Sadly, they were not. When will people realize carnivores don't need spinach? To be fair the 4 kittens I care for enjoyed them immensely; like immediately tore into them when placed on the plate. This is a high quality cat food, made & sourced in the USA. Unfortunately neither on of my cats like it :-( I also tried the nulo canned food and the one cat ate it for awhile and will still unenthusiastically eat it. However I tried the Chewy brand "American Journey" and they really like that. It's grain free and made in the USA and a little less expensive. You have to buy it from Chewy though. ... show more

In an effort to get more moisture into my cat, I have tried 4 brands of freeze dried raw and this is the one that she will eat the most of. She is very picky about wet food, turns her nose over canned. I first gave her a few pieces of this dry as a treat. Then I started adding water. She is still picky about it sometimes. I'll put a few dry crumbles over the top to entice her. Or crumble some freeze dried chicken as a topping. Some reviewers were mentioning that the pieces were too crumbled or too big. Finally something healthy for my cats that they love. I crumble it over the only food they like which is not healthy cat food. Its probably the equivalent of cheetos in catfood. They like it and will eat it and no other brand so i found this thats good for them and add it on top and its a hit. i have tried almost every brand of healthy cat food but they refuse it so this is the only way to get them to eat something good for them. Its expensive but i suppose its alot cheaper than vet bills. I do recommend this though. ... show more

I recently read an article about freeze dried raw meat food for pets because it is closer to what their large cat cousins in the wild eat. So I bought this small bag try and gave them a couple morsels and they love it. I will add it to their current food plan . Good job Nulo!!

Both of our cats loves this, even the one that does not like anything turkey flavored. One of our cat has pumpkin allergy, anything pumpkin will make her have diarrhea. Unfortunately a lot of cat foods has pumpkin in them, and we found this one that does not. Both cats will just gobble this up as soon as we give them. The pellet is easy to crush with 2 fingers, and we just add a little water to it. ... show more

I should have read the reviews of this more closely before I bought it. I don't even know if my cat would like it because this is dog food sized. She's not touching it. Like another reviewer said, I may just give it to the wildlife. Big waste of money.
