We like the Nuby cups and my daughter took to them right away. The handles and weighted straw make it easy for her to drink from. I tested the straw and you don't have to bite down to use it, which I think made it easier for her to learn. They are pretty much leak proof - other than the occasional liquid coming up the straw with temperature changes. However, from my research it just seems to be something that you have to accept when using a weighted straw cup. There are a lot of pieces to clean, but it seems to be the average amount of pieces for a straw cup and they are easy to run water through. I also have to admit that I just liked the designs on these cups a little more than others ... show more

    • Cute, but straw broke 6 weeks in. Can't replace straw only. :-(
The biggest complaint is that the straw tore near the weight 1.5 months into using it and I cannot find a replacement straw so now the cup is useless. I don't want to buy the entire cup again. I just need a straw. Really hoped this would last more than 6 weeks!! I've been handwashing the straw parts so it's not an issue of dishwasher. Also, it does get puree jammed in the track that the straw cover slides in and is pretty difficult to get out. There were things that I liked before it failed. I love the print on this little sippy and my kids hated bottles so when we transitioned to drinking water we like weighted straw cups.     • Has it's flaws but good
My daughter received 1 for her birthday, I bought 2 more. Easy to take apart and keep clean. Makes it much easier to keep her hydrated on the go- car, stroller, transit. Update- maybe spoke a little too soon. I do like the cup but it didn't make it to the 1 month mark in this toddler home. I can take apart to clean. Minimal leaks if carefully closed tight so try keep upright and not overfill. But I did realize it cracked, likely after my 14 month old decided to toss on our wood floors when she had her fill. I'll have to invest more on a sturdier cup. ... show more

it’s a nice cup... but there are so. many. pieces. Taking it apart to clean is a process, then you’ve gotta clean a bunch of tiny pieces of silicone, and try not to loose any of them, all while also trying to figure out how to get it all back together. I won’t be buying another, it serves its purpose as a cup... but if you’re trying to have something easier to clean I’d recommend a different weighted straw cup. ... show more

    • Not Spill-Proof at All
I decided to give this a chance despite the negative reviews. I regret doing so. First, the straw doesn't "snap" in to place like with similar cups with weighted straws. So it's hard to tell if it's in place properly. Second, it leaks really badly. The liquid came shooting up out of the straw. and every time i turned it over, milk came out of the straw. Not leak proof at all. I literally threw it away without ever giving it to my daughter. Such a waste. ... show more

    • Not perfect, but what is?
All around a good starter cup, but beware. If the lid is on too tight it will create a vacuum and the liquid will spill out of the straw. We had water in this and left it on the table over night. We woke up to a puddle around the cup. All in all though I would say this is a good cup and doesn’t make a mess all over my floor when my toddler decides to chuck it across the room 😂 ... show more

    • Many parts, and hard to use straw!
I bought this for a friend of mine's lil baby, and she was SO excited when she got it! Until she had to take apart the damned thing. She called me a bit ago to tell me that the straw is HARD to use, and that it keeps getting stuck in the bottom portion. I had to go and see for myself, and make sure she wasn't fibbin'. Well, I did ALL I could do, and the best way to get it unstuck is to unscrew it and replace it back in proper hole. Now thats not so bad, until her baby learned how to unscrew it, and pour it all over. :( The only GOOD thing we both have to say is that its pretty. Thats all. :( ... show more

    • Big disappointment
Cute is about the only thing this cup has in the “pro” column. The CONS are tha it has a valve, very hard to suck up liquid, and after removing the the straw to clean BEFORE use, I haven’t been able to get it back in just right. We’ve never actually used this cup - big disappointment.
