The media could not be loaded. So when you plug the USB into the computer it glows and you can also change the glowing color. The bottom of the Matt is rubber and the top is a soft printed fabric. When you wash it, it's okay to hand wash just avoid the top where it needs to be plugged in. The lights are water proof from what I've seen.

This pad was exactly what my son (who's 11) was hoping for. He loves the multiple light settings you can select from. He couldn't wait to show me his favorite setting and kept raving about how this pad goes perfectly with his Xbox set up with color changing LED rope around his TV, illuminated keyboard and LED glowing mouse. He plans on upgrading to a gaming PC, but is currently using his Xbox with keyboard and mouse. Hard for me to comprehend this trend when you have a beautifully designed Xbox controller right there, but according to the kids the mouse and keyboard are so much better and more responsive. The pad rolled out perfectly flat and lit right up once plugged in and turned on. The quality is top notch in my son's opinion and that's all that matters really. I personally haven't used a mouse pad since the early 2000's. His mouse glides smoothly across this very aesthetic mouse pad and the smile on his face makes me proud that I found this on Amazon in a sea of options. Very happy kid and very happy parent.

The product came as described. It works fine, and looks very good. Also the material used has a good quality to it. The only negative of this product is the cheapo' usb cable which came with the pad. It is just borderline garbage. The cable end is crooked and it was a pain to change. Replaced with another one that i have and it works great. Will upgrade the review if something comes up.

I just wanna say for the price this isn't half bad at all the lighting works perfectly i haven't tried it out much yet but honestly i don't care i really like the quality of the mat itself for the price you can't beat it. If the lights eventually go out which i will update this review when so ppl can get an idea of how long it last i will but for now even if they did i wouldn't care. The extra lighting effect is just a cherry on top the actual mat itself is great quality for the price i had an Logitech gaming mat that was much thinner than this that cost twice the amount and that wasn't good at all. So in short this is good for the price and the light effect is a nice cheery.
