So my cats are having a blast playing with this. However in less than two days the have destroyed the butterflies. The ribbons are still holding in there. And they are enjoying the ribbons just as much as they did with the butterflies attached.

I bought this toy for my 2 cats, to keep them busy and active. They have alot of fun with it, and my cats enjoy the motion sensor feature as they walk past. The only thing is it could be a little quieter. It's nice that it has 2 speed modes and the butterfly is easy to install. Wire bends quite easily but also easy to bend back. It comes with a replacement butterfly which was nice! Needs batteries which weren't included! ... show more

The toy arrived quickly and was well made, stable and easy to follow instructions. I added the batteries and turned it on. My kitten enoyed the movement for about 5 mnutes and then walked away. In the past 2 months since she has had it, it turns on automatically if she or someone else walks by but she has nothing to do with it. It could be just her. However one flaw that I did notice is that it took no time at all for the butterfly wire to bend oover and skim the ground instead of flying. Overall it is well made and a great idea. My cats are obsessed with this toy. But I am very frustrated they don’t last. I only keep buying it because it has the sensor to turn on at will. I have 3 big cats and one 6lb cat. Biggest is 16 lb mainecoon. After playing and holding butterfly the thing stops spinning. I have to constantly bend the wire to get it to spin again. I have bought both new and older versions. Older works better. Please update the butterflies. And also make replacements easier to find. The knock offs don’t work well with this toy. ... show more

Purchased to help keep my cat happy when we were on vacation and he only had people in the house every other day. The motion activation feature is great. He quickly learned he just needs to go near it to turn it on. When he gets tired and stops, it does too. The wire bends easily at the base and can cause it to activate itself so it never stops, but you can straighten it so it works as it should...but if you are away it will just keep running until the battery dies. Wish it came in a lager size option as my cat is now 20 pounds and he would be happier if the whole unit was wider & taller. Still a great purchase for our needs. ... show more

All five of my kitties are obsessed with this, I wish it came with more butterfly wands (it has one and a replacement) because my cats had a ball destroying the first one and then. second one after about ten days. They do suck batteries dead fairly quickly, so you have to actually shut it off because it’s motion activated & will run anytime anything walks by it all day if you don’t click it off. ... show more

First, I didn't receive any compensation for this review. I'm a real customer, "mother" of 16 year old Tater, our beautiful tabby cat. The toy exceeded our expectations in all ways. It's well made, a great value, and our geriatric boy is enjoying it. Keep in mind, he's 16. There are times he does look at it, then me, as if demanding to know who let this thing in the house. Then, onto attack mode. Obviously, if I don't have the wherewithal to get rid of it, he does! LOVE that it has a motion detector.
