L-Tyrosine is a conditionally indispensable amino acid required for the production of the neurotransmitters dopamine, adrenaline, and noradrenaline, as well as for the skin pigment, melanin. My bipolar Type II and depression are controlled by meds, and have been for a long time. But mood stabilizers, whick keep me from feeling "down," also keep me from feeling "up."     • GAVE ME SUPER HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE!!!
I have never in my life had high blood pressure. Always had super LOW blood pressure, as in 100/70. I started taking one of these L-Tyrosine capsules once every morning. I noticed my heart had been pounding and my ongoing mild heart palpitations had increased considerably. I didn’t think anything of it but today I decided on a whim to take my blood pressure. It was 180/112!! That is basically a hypertensive crisis (180/120)!! I Immediately started researching this supplement more and lo and behold, I read numerous other people saying the same thing, that it made their BP skyrocket!! Makes me mad they don’t have a warning label on this stuff, I could’ve had a stroke or heart attack!! BEWARE!! ... show more

between this and their dopa mucana product, this has been the miracle supplement(s) for my depression which includes apathy, motivation and negative thoughts regarding life. Its like it is a fire distinguisher on negativity. BUT It feels close to adderal which is good or bad depending on your view of adderal its good for me (I've taken adderal to be able to stand hanging out with my wife's friends) I haven't taken any prescription to alleviate symptoms of depression since I've started these, it's been about 2 weeks. ... show more

    • Amazin for productivity !!!!
I never had ADD but the past year I have noticed it's harder and harder to get work done. My attention span is very little and I would need contant breaks on social media sites to "check out" or "zone out". Also when I was working I had this mental fog and drained feeling. Honestly, I take this in the morning and the "dread" feeling and mental fog is gone, and I am 1000x more productive!!! It's actually insane how this works. For example, I used to get work emails and I would avoid reading them and dealing with the issue for a few Days or hours. Now I open and read it right away and deal with it right then and there.     • My miracle supplement!
This is a miracle supplement! I take it in the mornings, and it feels like it really amplifies the positive effects of coffee. I feel clear-headed and am able to focus much easier without getting anxious or jittery. I've only had issues with falling asleep if I take it too late in the day, but taking it before noon make for a great day of getting work done and energy to do stuff after. My mood is also better, and my social anxiety feels more under-control. I will buy this supplement again. ... show more

    • Beware this is a high dose for some individuals and can cause bad headaches
This can work wonders at helping your body deal with stress, especially physical as some of the studies with the Military demonstrated, but watch out how much you take. I have had to reduce the dose to about half of this because 750 mg gives me immense headaches. You should probably do a test and take a very low dose at first and work your way up. The headache lasted about 8 hours for me and didn't go away till I slept it off. I personally experimented with taking it on an empty stomach or with food and didn't notice much of a difference, I could feel the effects of it pretty quickly either way. For me it basically makes me feel like everything is less of an immediate threat and my body is a bit better at dealing with things. I do feel a bit more energy, but that seemed to go away after taking it for a few days. I highly recommend trying out a smaller dose to anyone who has problems with stress, or feels that they are under a lot of stress. It is a pretty dramatic difference on me, but the headaches are really bad with the higher dose. ... show more

I'm usually skeptic when it comes to supplements; however, this really works. I take several medications which cause my memory to be terrible. With the L-Tyrosine, I began to recall things I hadn't been able to recall prior to using. I give this 5 stars.

Take one daily. I had thyroid problems with lack of energy. With this I've even got off the Rx I was taking.
