    • Motor is very unstable.
This generator runs very rough, very unstable. The only way I found to smooth the motor out was to open up several of the access panels, which makes me think the air intake on its own isn't sufficient. Also, the motor will not run on the full speed settings at all. As soon as eco mode is switched off the motor immediately stalls out. I do not recommend this generator, this is not going to be reliable in an emergency. And it's also very loud. At least as loud as a push lawn mower. ... show more

    • Someone did their homework !
I bought this because I needed more amperage than my Yamaha 1000 could output, so based on the specs and contacting the seller I just had to give it a shot because the specs showed it to be much more efficient than even my former Honda 2000 or Yamaha generators, and they were the most efficient! First it is a handsome bugger, second it pull starts super easy....I mean very easy and in this case it did start on the first pull! After prepping before starting (with the uncluded oil and funel and good instructions) I ran it for just a few minutes then checked the oil for any sparkle or fragments....NONE! I put one quart of gas in it (their filler does have a removable filter) and ran it with a full 25 percent load which lasted just over 4 hours ! All the time it ran it ran very smooth and quiet and very little vibration, the low noise was partly because of the well insulated case. Opening it up, the internals and insulation were impressive, looks like it was built by NASA! You get everything you need to get started and maintain for its long life. Will run some longer tests but if the numbers are right (and the manufacturues were conservative) this could well be the most efficient gas generator on the market! And of course it is kept in a proper place....at the foot of my bed.....money well spent! ... show more

    • DO NOT BUY THIS CHINESE JUNK
I took a chance on this generator because it was so cheap and couldn't be more disappointed. Set it up with oil and gas, took forever to start and it immediately ran like crap. Wouldn't idle or run smoothly and after 5 min it quit and won't start. Tried calling customer support and, big surprise, get sent to a voicemail that will never be returned. Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more on a Champion or better yet, a Honda. ... show more

Put oil in, filled it with gas, t urned the choke on and it started first pull. Super quiet on eco, maybe a little noisy on regular. But definitely quieter than any generator I've ever owned. Quieter than a lawn mower or gas trimmer for sure.

The instructions included are very easy to follow. It came with a funnel and a bottle of motor oil. This little generator fits the bill perfectly. It started right out of the box. It runs smoothly and is pretty quiet, even when running with a full load. Can not wait to use it when it is needed.
