The only downside to this, is that we received it with zero instructions. Thankfully, with a little common sense, it wasn’t hard to put together by simply looking at the photo on this listing. I have a purple mattress which is insanely heavy and takes two very strong people to lift/move, and two box springs underneath (king size), and after sleeping on it last night it seems durable. I would definitely recommend not purchasing for wood floors, or if you do, getting a giant rug or some form of non-sliding caps to go under the legs. The frame itself (under the mattress) seems to have more support then some of the thousands of dollars frames I have had before. The metal bars at the top, however, are extremely flimsy so you couldn’t hang anything more than draping curtains or things that are extremely light weight. That aspect is definitely just for show.     • Gorgeous but not very solid

I bought this bed to give my space a bit of a more modern and updated look and just wanted something different than a traditional headboard. It is fairly easy to put together, I did it all by myself in about 1 1/2 hours. The pieces are well labeled and the instructions pretty easy to read. I tend to look and look and look again to make sure I am putting the right pieces together so that add extra time. Also, I haven't taken off the main labels/stickers because they are very sticky and will likely leave leftover pieces on the poles. A stupid idea if you ask me...be prepared to peel off those labels with goo gone or something like that. They are placed on the top poles so you can't really hide them. The final look of the bed is really beautiful. The gold color frame is not gaudy, but rather more of a modern matte gold, and very very pretty. The structure itself; however, is not very solid in terms of how strong each of the poles are. My kids constantly want to hold on to the top polls and act like they will hang or swing from it (and so do I!) but I guarantee you they will bend at the slightest tug! I think the frame itself that the mattress sits on feels sturdy, as there are plenty of braces under neath that hold up the mattress, but again, they are thin poles and probably can't handle too much romping around on them! Overall the bed looks beautiful and I think will hold up fairly well to "normal" bed wear and tear, ie the occasional jumping on the mattress if you don't weigh a ton or moving the frame around to a different part of the room. I don't think it would withstand constant any hardcore tugging on the frame itself. The overall value was great so it makes it worth it for the look. ... show more

I needed a frame for our guest bedroom almost immediately and after looking all day, this was the most inexpensive frame that could get to me before my guests arrived. It was packaged great, everything was clearly labeled and they provide extra hardware. Set up was almost entirely done by myself alone. The instructions were easy to follow. However the final step (setting up the bars for the canopy) you will need at least one extra person as the bars need to be held in place on both sides. I used 2 just to make it very easy. Overall setup took me just under 2 hours. And it’s amazing, aesthetically pleasing and very sturdy. My grandparents slept on it and even wrestled with my toddlers multiple times. I’m incredibly happy that I went with this frame. The long stickers aren’t able to be pulled off (as mentioned in other reviews) but I purchased some goo gone and was able to take them off that way. Another key is there is a removable paper in the instructions page 2 I believe that mentions 2 types of washers for the base. Do not skip this step. It increases the overall integrity of the frame. If you’re considering this frame, 100% buy it. I can’t believe I paid less than $200 for it. ... show more

The bed was OK at first, I knew it wouldn't last quickly after unboxing it and seeing how many of the holes were misaligned. Misaligned holes = crooked screws & bed = atrocious and constant squeaking. To make matters worse, the actual canopy part is super cheap and bent a few times while assembling the bed so the top of the bed looked funky from the start of this misadventure. It's now been just over 9 months of owning it and 8 months of it having been assembled, it has to go. The screws are constantly in need of retightening and when they aren't retightened soon enough, the bed begins to deform and then the squeaky nightmare gets worse and there's no remedy. ... show more

Assembled the whole frame weighs around 5lbs or so it's very very light weight sounds good for moving it about but moving it about also it doesn't hold firmly together, the poles for the canopy make the bed very tall but one of the poles of mine were not drilled properly so I was unable to assembled the stunning feature of the canopy top. I now have a standard bed with exposed post that are on the headboard & foot board as I can't assemble the pole posts & canopy beams so I have to come up with some other way to live with this feature. The bed can be assembled mostly alone the only issue you need is a really high step stool to get up to the very high poles to screw in the bars that will go down vertically so if you are not tall you won't be able to reach it it feels like the poles are 7ft in height once put up. The color is a matte gold not a vibrant gold if you have to name a color tone it's more along the lines of a golden rod or vintage gold tone. If you plan to keep your box spring with this bed be warned it raises the bed up I'm 5ft 2in and it's at my hips if that helps you it is so high the upper main mattress is a good 3 inches above the foot board and nearly as height as the head board area the only plus to this increased height is it made putting the sheets on very simple and most the blankets can just fall over the foot board area but now I need to get step stool. ... show more
