I purchased this for my uncomfortable Helix mattress. The worst mattress I ever owned. I'm a large woman so Helix was supposed to be for heavier ppl. It was too soft and very difficult to turn in. I'm a side sleeper only and I was waking up with shoulder, hip and leg pains. I couldn't afford another mattress so I thought a mattress topper would help. I knew I had to let it decompress for at least 24 hrs first, and I only have one bed so I had to place it in the spare room on some plastic storage bends under it. According to the instructions here and on the Novella website it says to decompress for 24 hrs, but the instructions from the box says 48hrs. I believe 24 hrs to decompress and 48hrs to air out the chemical smell which I hardly could smell. I seen after 16 hrs it was at 3.5". After leaving out for 30 hrs it was still 3.5". I knew that was as high as it was going to get. I seen a lot of ppl here upset saying theirs compressed only up to 2" or 3" for a 4" topper. In my opinion they were sent a 2" or 3" instead of a 4". That is sad considering you will NOT get this topper back in the box. There is no wheres on the topper or the box stating the size or height. I worried that would happen to me, but I was ok with 3.5". I still would have been happier if it was the height they stated. It fit my full sized mattress perfectly. First I just placed the sheets on top of it and it kept moving side to side which was really annoying me constantly having to get up and reposition it. Then I put my purple mattress protector over it which is thin and fits very tight on the bed with extra big pockets and the topper hasn't moved since. so if yours is moving, you will need a snug mattress protector on it. I highly recommend purple, which is water proof and thin. I sleep soo good on this. No shoulder pain or any pains at all. The amazing thing is how easy I can turn around on it, much easier then my helix mattress alone. This provided just the right firmness I needed to make up for the soft mattress. This is a great mattress topper I used to wake up in the morning and had a hard time standing up. (Imagine a 90 year old lady standing bent over and can’t get up) that was me at 26 lol. I would wake up multiple times a night with pressure pain in my hips. My mattress was just too hard. I was seeing a chiropractor and massage therapist and was only receiving temporary relief. This was my problem solver. And I’m so happy with my purchase. All my sheets still fit. The topper expanded quickly to full size and I was blissfully sleeping on it later that night. I woke up the next morning with the best sleep I’ve had in awhile! So comfortable and supportive. Exactly what I needed. I was scared it would be too soft, Ya know the kind where you sink in and practically get stuck lol but I’m thrilled to say this is the perfect topper. I love how it comes with adjustable and stretchy bands at the corners to put around your mattress corners so it doesn’t slip off. (they adjust quite a bit to fit any mattress and/box spring) another plus is the cover is removable so you can wash it! Great for me since I have a messy toddler. I’ve been using this topper for a month before writing my review to make sure the bliss wasn’t short lived and I’m happy to say I’m just as thrilled with this topper as I was the first night I slept in it. I’ve received great sleep, pain relief, and improved posture. So if your situation sounds similar to mine go ahead and snag this beauty. I purchased a twin size of this mattress topper and it worked well so I decided to get a queen size mattress topper. It arrived in a box and unpacking it was easy. Placed on my bed to let it expand over several hours and it didn’t have a smell. It did have a crease down the center like others have said so I just grabbed the end of the mattress and shook it up and down several times throughout the day and it went away. I recommend doing this on the sides as well to help the mattress expand evenly. The straps are ok and are not enough towards the center of the mattress to help keep them in place but they work ok. Mattress is warm but I have a pillow topper on it so it’s not to warm. Overall it’s a great product for me. Feels medium firm which is what I wanted. If your looking for a soft mattress topper, this company might have one but definitely check the title or read the description to be sure of what you will get. ... show more

I was a bit apprehensive when I purchased this memory foam topper as I wasn’t able to see it in person and feel it’s support, quality, etc. I read the reviews and they were all pretty positive - so I ordered it. Let me start off by saying I have chronic back pain from severe spinal stenosis and do not sleep well most nights. I bought a memory foam mattress thinking it would help. It turned out to be way too hard and made things worse. So I opted to buy this mattress topper in hope that it would help. The topper arrived packaged very well, complete with an “envelope cutter” to open the wrapping without damaging the product. I rolled it out and it began to puff up pretty quickly. It came with a cover that has adjustable straps to secure it in place with your mattress. They actually do work to do that. The mattress topper cover is of decent quality as is the mattress topper itself, which is very soft and comfortable if you choose not to use a mattress protector (which I do as I have pets). I was pleasantly surprised. No “chemical smell” that I noticed. I ordered the 4” topper. This thing IS comfortable! It offers adequate support so you’re not sinking. It is firm, but not so firm that it’s uncomfortable. It’s been a few weeks since I purchased it and I’m very happy! This is a good mattress topper at a good price! Buy with confidence. ... show more
