When I purchased this transport chair for my wife I was a little hesitant due to the price, but it has been worth every penny. Other wheel chairs were heavy and hard to load in the back of our car. This one is so light I can easily lift it and slide it in. I purchased the 22 inch wide seat and it is super comfortable for my wife to sit in for long periods, unlike the cheap ones or what she has used in medical centers. It came assembled in the box, all I had to do was tear down one side and roll it out. It has two leg/foot parts that were not assembled but they are very simple to put on and take off. I really enjoy having the handbrakes I can use on inclines to keep the chair from getting away. When sitting in one place it also has manual lever brakes like any wheel chair that can be engaged when I need to leave the area for a moment. The seat has two handhold on each side that can be used to pull upward and close the chair to an 11 inch width. By placing a hand on either side of the seat and pressing down it unfolds easy to sit in. The only negative I can comment on is the foot rests come with a strap to keep the heal from falling back and off the rest. But for my wife it kept her feet too far forward and was not comfortable. I removed the straps and she has not has any problems with her feet slipping off the foot rests. The chair also comes with a seatbelt which would be a big plus for someone who had difficulty sitting up and possibly falling forward. I'm very satisfied with the construction and ease of use and highly recommend this transport chair.

My son convinced me to get the red one and it turns out it is more of a burgundy than red color, which is perfect for me, I love it! He put it together in no time, only a couple thing to snap into place. It rolls VERY easily, it is also very comfortable for me (I added a seat cushion). This is def way over what I needed, but I think in the long term it will last a very long time. I dreaded getting a chair, I still hate the idea of it, but for long trips to the doctor it will be invaluable. My son is very pleased with it as well. Now to dye my hair burgundy again and all will be right in the world.

I guess the third time is a charm. After trying two other chairs, this one worked just fine. I'm no where near 400 pounds, but I'm short and wide and needed a comfortable seat that I could sit back in. I sat through a regular movie without squirming. Minutes to assemble and rides on pavement like a Buick. Now I feel confident that I can go out to a restaurant and feel safe in my chair.

My son was recently diagnosed with cancer. That and treatments left him in need of a chair asap. He's 220 lbs and wide so I needed something strong and able to get him around easily and easy for me to use since I'm only 5'1" and 125 lbs but I've got to be able to push it. This chair has been a savior to me. Not only comfortable for him but easy for me to lift in and out of the trunk. Easy to push, easy hand brakes and has a tilt guard for extra security. I highly recommend this chair. The arms lift out of the way with a press of a button and lightweight. Only thing I'd like for it to have that it doesn't have, is the legs to be able to raise but that's nit picking. It works just perfectly. Even has a built-in pocket in the back. This chair is perfect.

Overall, a nice wheelchair but if the patient is not very strong physically, it is does not roll easily when patient is using their feet to move the chair while sitting in it. Also, the back panel has no support at all. The seat has no cushion - would need to purchase a pad of some kind.

I love this chair. It’s much too big for me - should have read description more carefully - but, it’s not a bad thing as I can keep my bag next to me or one of my dogs. I have use of my legs and this works well for maneuvering in places like down the driveway or working in the garage by myself. It’s great for outings so that my family can sightsee, etc without me and my walker holding up the parade! Very nice quality. Comfortable.
