Bought it and shipped to South Africa in 5 days. Excellent phone, fully unlocked, no issues regarding connectivity/compatibility to local 5G networks. Software is BRILLIANT, super well optimised and very fast and snappy. Pushed it to the limits with running multiple heavy apps simultaneously and it did not lag at all. Very durable aluminium body and a free case and screen protector. Screen is big, bright and beautiful. Triple camera setup is fantastic, getting super clear and beautiful photos. Satisfied with my 4a pro. I've been using OnePlus phones for the last... I don't know since the 6t and have loved using them. My latest phone was the 11 and it's served me well. My wife uses a 13. Battery life on my 11 was toast and the back glass has been shattered for about a year so figured I should buy a phone and would have loved to buy another oneplus phone but I'm unsure whether they will continue to serve the United States so I decided to try something different. I've tried other non-oneplus phones, always flagship level phones, stuff with min of 12gb ram over the years only to be frustrated and return them or sell them. The 4a pro doesn't compare to the speeds I was getting from my 16GB 11. it runs crisply and I'm only noticed slight or minor delays running some apps that I didn't feel in my OnePlus devices. They are minimal and I haven't wanted to throw the phone against the wall. While the glyph matrix maybe gimmicky I like it and the phone stands out from others. I've had others ask me what that thing on the back of my phone is. I love the metal body and it feels solid in my hands. I've never been one to magnetically charge so that was not an issue for me and I have no problem plugging my phone into a charger to charge it. Phone feels good in my hand, does mostly everything I needed to so far.... My only gripe and where I really feel the step down in quality and something that I used often for my profession is the camera. The camera is definitely not as good as my OnePlus cameras have been and some people don't even like the OnePlus cameras so if you think OnePlus cameras aren't good you will not enjoy this camera experience at all. The 50 megapixel camera does not do wide-angle and only uses 4:3 ratio. You also have to change it from 12 to 50 overtime you open the camera app. You have to use the 12 megapixel to do wide angle and quality suffers. It also seems to struggle with lighting. All of my pictures are darker than they were with my other phones. The flash is barely visible when needed. The price is decent though mine is the 12 GB version and I feel like it's a decent value for what I got. And I am enjoying it more than I thought I would. If only the camera was what I was expecting. If it lat me a couple years and doesn't slow down a bunch I'll survive. ... show more

This phone is sleek and useful! I'd say this phone is on par with the Samsung variants, maybe just a tad better. There's a learning curve to some of their software, but I'm not really interested in that aspect of the phone, so it doesn't bother me. The camera is REALLY GOOD! The overall sound is pretty impressive as well (YouTube, VLC and Twitch were used)! Some notable things about this phone: •Minimal Nothingphone bloat, easily hireable or can uninstall... •Battery life was 2.5 days with some moderate usage. •The screen is BRIGHT, even when turned down to 50% or so. •Swipe works perfectly, and the predictive text is usually correct. •I haven't found an otterbox style case for this phone yet, but it comes with a case - so win! Phone case is slightly thin, but it's easy to grip while using the device. •It's a pretty light phone. •Verizon connectivity is possible AND DOES work, but it isn't the best. I'm using a physical SIM card. •I am also using a Samsung Watch 7, and even though this watch is connected to my nothingphone, it shows as I left my phone behind (even if I'm actively using the phone while wearing the watch) •No issue with OEM Unlocking AFAIK, this phone can be rooted, but I'm not sure there are any CFW's available for it yet. This phone is still relatively new. BUT, once you root your device, banking applications may not work, just FYI. Happy androiding! ... show more

Absolutely an amazing phone! Flagship features with a midrange price. Nothing OS is fast and responsive, battery life is very solid even with the always-on display feature on. The camera is rich in features and takes great quality pictures. The solid aluminium body is makes durablilty solid.     • WiFi Bug Makes Phone Useless!

If you have a modern Comcast/Xfinity or Spectrum internet, I do NOT recommend purchasing this phone. If your home internet has automated mesh extenders and/or uses WPA3, I definitely do NOT recommend that you buy this phone. This phone has a severe "modem state trap" bug. Whenever the phone tries to auto-steer or hand off between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz nodes as you walk through your house, the software layer panics. Speed instantly craters from whatever your speeds are supposed to be, to an unusable 4–8 Mbps, which speeds from the year 2004. The only way to fix it is to manually toggle your phone's Wi-Fi off and back on every time you switch rooms, or completely downgrade your entire home router security network to WPA2-Only (which will break your smart home cameras and keypads). This phone can NOT handle the WPA3 security encryption protocol for some reason. This is a known, unresolved firmware/handshake bug on Nothing's end. Clean factory resets do not fix it. Unfortunately, I’m past my return date, so it’s used as a paper weight until they decide to release a fix for it. Again, I do NOT recommend buying this phone right now… unless you like your phone to be slow and laggy when browsing the internet, accessing info, or gaming. ... show more

I have to give it 3 star. First this phone is awesome… However, can’t activate on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile, Mint, or Straight Talk EMEI is not recognized. I have Verizon carrier spend several hrs trying to add the IMEI to Verizon data base with no success. Then id tried every other carrier with same no success. Had to return phone.. very disappointed Nothing if u reading make sure if u sell in USA your EMEI is compatible with all major carriers ... show more

Nothing is byfar my new favorite Tech company. I can't say enough good things about this phone. For the price, I don't think there's a better option out there for most people. For some context, I "downgraded" from a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. I know it's crazy but I wanted something more durable, a slightly bigger main screen, something cheaper to replace if it breaks, and honestly something new and fresh. I've always been one to chase the best and newest thing, especially in tech; but I've come to the point where I want a high quality product that just does its job well, and this is it. This device has so many features that make it sleek, easy to use, and just make you need your phone less. The Glyph interface is super cool when you want to see only important notifications or information (time, battery life, volume, etc.) The high quality full metal frame feels really durable, the included case is perfect for work (I run it caseless when not working of course), the processor is plenty fast, and the software is the best version of Android I've ever seen (very similar to googles version but cleaner and more techy feeling).
