  • Solid Win if it's for you.
Honestly love the phone as a functional, very high quality, georgious device. I'm not gonna give it less stars for these annoyances, but keep this in mind : this phone is like android had a wild night out with an apple product, and here we are 9 months later. It runs in android, but all the manipulations like, button placement, how you take screenshots , etc all function like apple. So power and volume buttons are swapped ( now required you to completely change your grip to take a screenshot - I use this often for work - rather than intuitively using the regular hand hold position ( just slows things down is all), you have a bunch of swiping rather than dedicated back/home button on the main screen, etc, etc. Most of those things look nice, but like apple, require much more intentional movements to get around the OS. After learning it, it works fine but slows you down. For example, swipe up form button to pull up all apps list , and swipe up from bottom and push left to peek at open apps - if you are off by a half mm in finger placements your going somewhere other than where you wanted to go (slows you down). If your slightly to far to the right on the screen , your closing your app rather than changing pages (then re open and try again). They would be minor annoyances if I rarely used my phone, but android fucntion made things quicker and has always been more practical than apple - mainly impacts productivity. On the flip side, you have the freedom to install launchers like nova launcher to correct some of this and stream line things a bit, but then you lose some of the Nothing Phones OS beaty and cleanliness. The tech however ls very solid. The cameras are not rated among the highest , but in my opinion they are georgious. The cameras app isn't trying to beatify everything like my Samsung did, and the picture quality/lighting/gama etc is very clean and honest. that paired with her screen , and honestly this thing is georgious. For daily use/productivity/even business use i'de stack this against my old Samsung ultra any day of the week, and all the apple users in my house want it now. The battery ,even with its smaller size, runs all day in phone calls ( 6-8 hrs or work on the phone constantly), I be browsing, toilet gaming 😂, Pandora, and on and off camera use every day , and does it all very well. My phone has been awake for 7 hrs now and is at 87% and has been working since it got out of bed. Surprisingly the speakers are very loud and clear, when calls are in speaker I don't have any clarity issues or any issues with people hearing me through the mike, and the same with Bluetooth - no issues thier. Im able to pull 400ish mbps in hime 5g wifi so connectivity is solid and will likely be held up more by your network tech than the phones tech . "Nothing" isnt perfect, but I still appreciate "Nothing" for what they did with this thing. And yes, my brain loved writing that last sentence. Another fun fact, you have about 3 phone case options and 2 quality screen protector optiins with this thing , not widely supported. Best luck was eBay for accessories as the Nothing Phone is far better supported and known in western Europe than in the states. I think for the money, it's a value win, it's outclasses physically and oupaces it keeps up with phones twice it's price. I payed for it once, pay my phone bill once a year at 30$ a month, I own it , and whenever I want can't switch carriers with no issues. Specially will work out once I head back to western Europe since you can dual sim it ( one physical one digital). I do however wish phone companies would start giving us the expandable SSD slots back - that's just rude. ... show more
