I have very thin, fine hair and when I'm just blowing out or straightening it, my usual voluminous mousse and root lifter are sufficient... If I feel like a need a little more body, I can always spray a little bit of this into my roots and I get that extra lift. What I find this best for is when I want to curl, wave or create a nice updo. In the past, I couldn't get my hair to hold a curl to save my life and I didn't have enough volume to create a decent burn or twist. Then I found this product. I usually buy in the store but it was out of stock and I found the price to be very fair in Amazon. When I'm done blow drying my hair, I spray throughout my hair concentrating at the roots and it gives my hair the grip to hold my curls/waves for the day with a little help of a light hairspray. A little spritz of glossing spray and I'm left with, healthy, bouncy beautiful curls that don't fall out immediately. I've never had that before finding this product. It also performs miracles when I want to do a top knot, twist, or messy bun. It not only gives it the grip needed to be pulled up but once I have the hair band in, I spray the hair that will be shaped into a bun, tease it a little bit and it literally looks like I have twice the amount of hair that I do. I fell in love with this the first time I ever used it and have been buying it since. It allows me to do so many different styles with my hair that I spent years trying to do. I thought that this was dry shampoo because I quickly bought it, not looking close enough to see that I was buying the wrong thing. Complete buyer error. Not the product. I kept spraying more and more of it on and wondering why my hair was getting so large and kind of stiff. Yet, it still seemed to look a little oily. I thought, "Wow! This doesn't seem to be working like it normally does." Which is ok, but it was my honeymoon, so I think my new husband thought maybe his new wife had a little ratty hair. But when I realized my mistake, we had a good chuckle. 4 days of hairspray sprayed on very thick doesn't end up with oil controlled, silky hair. Just FYI. User error. Read the label. ... show more

I love this stuff! I like Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast, but it is so expensive. This is a great alternative to it, so much cheaper. I use it when I am done with blow drying and flat-ironing if I am going to do that. When I am ready to do my final hair-spraying, first I use this. I spray this in the root area, and fluff my hair up. (Be sure to SHAKE WELL, and shake as you use. If you don't shake, it sprays out white on your hair, like dry shampoo.) It adds volume and fullness. Also, if you really clean hair and you need some grip to do an updo or other style, this really helps with that. I have thick but fine hair. My hair falls flat quickly. To give a little insight on my hair, it is Asian, thick, and does not hold a curl well. No matter the barrel or hair spray I use, the curls are almost non existent by the end of my work day. I purchased this product with little hope and my oh my did it blow me away. I applied this spray all over my hair prior to curling. It adds a bit of grit to the hair which allows the curl to hold. I could tell immediately that my curls look tighter and by the end of the day, they were still there. I was floored. I did still finished my hair with a bit of hairspray. Also the product doesn’t leave sticky residue on your curling iron’s barrel. Do yourself a favor and pick this product up if you curl your hair. ... show more

Works great for adding texture to fun short hairstyles. The smell is a little strong, I always kick my kids out of the bathroom when I spray it since it makes me sneeze right after I'm done spraying which my 3 and 5 year olds find hilarious. Overall I like this product, probably will buy again.

The finish spray works nice, easy to use, and adds just the right amount of texture to boost your hair style. Doesn’t bother my scalp and seems to last a long time as well. Scent is OK but is a little strong for me so that is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Would order again.
