You get what you pay for. It scans your computer for any viruses before it installs software(my computer was clean & barely used), but after I installed it detected malware. It made my computer run ridiculously slow, I couldn’t stop it from taking over the server & the pop up’s are too much. Frustrated because I need to use my computer, I uninstalled & my computer went back to normal instantly. I called Amazon several time & they claim that they couldn’t do anything because the purchase had been made over 30 days & that I needed to call Norton directly. So I call Norton & of course they cannot give me a refund because the purchase was made on Amazon & they don’t have an order number which I didn’t think made very much sense due to the fact that you have to have a card on file when you set up the software(they make sure they take that money out immediately though). So that didn’t pan out well but I did make sure they canceled the account & that I had an email proving that the account was terminated. Quite an dissatisfying experience. I mistakenly thought purchasing Norton would help my PC, which had some issues regarding slipping into "Blue Screen of Death" mode. Actually, now I think it was just a bad 'driver'... This was a misconception I was soon to learn, was wrong. This version of Norton does nothing, a total waste of money. All it does is... not-scan your computer and instead unleashes a torrent of ads trying to sell you additional security products to... allegedly scan for viruses, clean your PC's memory and history, etc. Each of these additional products cost appx $80+ annually. This $20 item, can wind up costing you $500. Norton also "takes over" your PC, making it hard to use your own pass-words and access your files. Oh, and Amzn won't allow a refund, after you figure out how badly you wasted your money on this scam. Shame on you both. And... you'll be stuck, thanks to Amzn, on a Norton auto-bill, which will bill you $80 annually to renew your Norton, whether you like it or not. Shame on both of you, again. ... show more

Great price for the Norton 360 Standard. The best savings if you just are using it for 1 computer. I always bought the Premium from Norton which offers protection for 5 computers, but this Standard is never available on Norton. So was glad to see it offer for 1 computer at a lesser price. The transfer to my Norton Account was easy and it sat there for a while until my existing Norton 360 expired, and then it automatically launched. Didn't have to do anything. ... show more

I was a little hesitant to purchase because of a couple reviews however, it downloaded on my computer fine with zero issues. You do have to put your card information in because it does say with purchase “auto renewal” my card was definitely NOT charged at all. Worth the 19.99 for sure.
