Genuinely one of my favorite pair of hiking boots I’ve ever owned. I slid them on, and instant comfort. I just took them out to Hike in Glacier National Park, hiked 20 (+) miles in them across the week, zero blisters, no need to “break them in.” Not only did my feet feel great, but I ended the day with zero back pain, which anyone over 35 means you’ve got some quality support going on! These shoes are great! The fit is standard. I usually wear 6 or 7 depending on manufacturer. I chose a 7 because the chart stated they run small. The 7 fit like I expected. The brand name "S" shoes have been over priced for a long time and don't last as long as they used to. I prefer the high-top style for the ankle support. These fit good and have great arch support. I liked the color on this shoe so I purchased it. The fit and feel are fantastic and they are strongly made to last more than a few months. I do a large amount of walking and gardening and mowing so I need shoes that wont give up. They are water resistant and slip resistant enough for me. CON: I prefer the type that have rapid release hook on the top two spots. This shoe has an eyelet that you have to feed the shoestring into, you cant just hook it and go. (see pictures darker shoe is this one, the light one is the type preferred for the top 2 lace positions) These will be fine as they seem to be a better style of the high top along with better quality then most I have tried. ... show more

I ordered a new pair of shoes but received a pair that were visibly used. They were scuffed and bottoms were covered in sand/mud. Very disappointed. Edit: Spoke directly with Nortiv8 customer service through their website and they sent me a replacement pair and told me to keep the old pair too. Seems like it was more an issue on Amazon's end, not company specific, because someone returned the dirty pair and it was accepted back into the inventory by Amazon warehouses. New boots are true to size, have good ankle support, of good quality, and seem comfy to wear. Very happy with the replacements and Nortiv8 customer service was a gem to deal with. ... show more

I’m very impressed with these hiking boots! I wore them on a short walk once before our hike to break them in, and then took them to the Guadalupe Mountains in Texas. I had absolutely no issues with them. We were walking over sharp rocks and slippery areas, and these boots handled everything really well. I felt secure in them throughout the hike and never had any problems with my feet. And I have to mention how comfortable they were! I was expecting to need more time to break them in, but after just one short walk, they were ready for the hike.     • Not waterproof! Good soles but Boots are heavy and upper inflexible

I have had these for about a month and have worn them for both casual wear and actual hiking. Most importantly, these are NOT waterproof as advertised (unless you’re stepping in less than an inch of water). The soles are incredibly comfortable. I have high arches and they support them well. However, the shoes are extremely heavy and inflexible for hiking boots, and wearing them casually is quite cumbersome. Also, the tab at the back to assist in getting them on is too low and does not help at all. For the price, I am definitely not disappointed overall, but I will not purchase them again. ... show more

Bought these for my daughter for her hiking trip this summer. She said they were comfortable and held up to treks in the pike forest and one trek in Wyoming. They are a lighter color and does show dirt. If they don’t get dirty, did you really hike a mountain???

These are great! Right out of the package I took them on a hike in Alaska up a mountain. They have excellent ankle support and grip. They also look sharp and are not very heavy. I would recommend sizing up because they can be a bit tight with socks that are thicker.
