Surprised that a pair of boots at this price are both comfortable and sturdy. They seem a bit warm but, since its December, that's not a bad thing. The lacing is a bit unusual but if you tighten it across the top of the foot and then thread the loops to the top and give them a good pull you'll have a nice snug fit. Easy to get into and the rubber outsole traction seems good. Nice wrap around the toes for protection. These are 'high volume' boots - meaning that ther is lots of toe room and that the shaft will need to be well tightened - I find that I need to wear a pair of thick socks to fill up the volume and to create good ankle support ... show more

I’m pretty happy with this hiking shoes. It is confy, well made and sturdy. First impressions were all positive. I was looking for a beater that I wouldn’t feel sorry to abuse, and this is the perfect fit.

Not too sure how strong the plastic hooks are. 2. Would not use the boots for serious hunting or fishing. The soles are too thin. Might be better with some good insoles. Had never heard of this brand but needed a pair of waterproof boots for a trip to the PNW where we would hike in mountains, rainforest and beaches. I have a pair of Merrell Moab hiking shoes, but wanted something that covered more and were waterproof. These boots are amazing. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I own. I wore them everywhere and found I preferred them over other shoes throughout the trip. They stayed comfortable and dry no matter where we went, rivers, lakes or the ocean. I’ve now worn them on several trips including a March trip to Bryce Canyon where we went from snow on some trails to the heat of the red rocks in others. I absolutely love these boots! They are super light, comfortable and definitely waterproof. I took them on a camping trip for the weekend and I walked through creeks and puddles with no issues at all. No water got inside and they were comfortable all weekend. The only thing was the tongue did start to bother me a bit after the 3rd day. I have some pretty boney shins but a small cloth between my shins and the tongue helped a lot. ... show more

My initial review is below. I had struggled to make these boots work and the company reached out and made things right. I now have a pair of boots that work and are great thanks to a company who cares about customers! "Do you want to know how I got these scars? These boots! The tongue placement pushes directly against your ankle / shin causing great pain and even worse without really thick socks. Are they warm, yes. Are they waterproof, also yes. Do they have good traction, yes again. Are you going to regret buying them, also yes. The ankle shin pain from the tongue is awful." ... show more

Please read full review. Where to begin. The boots are comfortable, decent waterproofing, they feel/look well constructed. Unfortunately they did not hold up well, I hikes less than 10 times. My left foot began to hurt on top near bottom of the lace, I tried every lacing method and it still hurt, leading to potential blisters. It was not a break in issue the boots were initially comfortable to wear then around hike 6 they hurt. Reached out to the company they were partially helpful offering a coupon on their website. Their shoes are significantly higher in price on their website. It could have been a lemon pair of boots. Buy with caution. Updated: 4/9/26-CS reached out to me and offered full refund or new pair of boots. I do hike often so I went with the new pair of boots. I will create a new review in the future /update this review. A+ for their CS. Initial review was 2 stars I increased to 3 stars if these boots hold up the score will go higher. ... show more
