  • Comfortable cushioned shoes for walking, light running, and everyday use
Size: 11.5 Color: Apricot
I do a decent amount of running and walking, so comfort matters a lot to me in a shoe. These NORTIV 8 shoes have been a nice option for everyday wear, light runs, gym use, and casual activity. The cushioning is the first thing I noticed. They feel soft underfoot without feeling too bulky, and the arch support feels good for longer periods of walking or standing. My feet felt supported without the shoe feeling stiff. The material has a clean athletic look, and the shoes feel lightweight on foot. They are breathable enough for active use, and they pair well with workout clothes or casual outfits. I also liked the grip. I wore them while running in the rain, and they felt slip resistant enough to give me confidence on wet pavement. I would still be careful on slick tile or painted surfaces, but for normal outdoor use, the traction felt solid. Durability seems good so far for the price. The sole feels sturdy, the upper does not feel cheap, and they seem like they should hold up well for walking, errands, gym sessions, and lighter running. For the money, these are a good value if you want a comfortable cushioned shoe with support, grip, and an easy everyday athletic look. ... show more

  • Not perfect, but amazing 'bang for the buck'!
Size: 13 Color: All Black
I'm a lifelong runner and hiker with experience with many different brands and models of shoes. I decided to try these to save some money over my usual Hoka, Altra, or Salomon heavily cushioned models, mainly for long city and road walks and easy slow-paced recovery jogs. My personal foot issues (in case any are important to some readers) are a D-width, low-volume foot with a painful Morton's Neuroma on the ball, a prominent heel bone spur, and a past history of plantar fasciitis. I've preferred mostly low- to zero-drop shoes for the past 15 years. First impressions after initial 4 mile city walk: The stack height is quite high (not specified by seller) and the foam is of the softer/bouncier variety, similar to the early-generation Hoka's. The heel to toe drop (also not mentioned by the seller) feels very high, at least 12 mm or more. It feels like wearing 'high-heeled shoes' to me. That large drop sacrifices the amount of cushion in the forefoot, where more of my foot issues are located. I wish they would get rid of a few mm of foam from the heel of the midsole and move it to the forefoot for better protection there. There are nice welded reinforcements on the upper around the toe and from the lace points down the sides to improve durability and structure. The weight was only 0.5 oz. heavier than my similar Hoka Bondi model. The toe box is very wide with plenty of room for toe splay, which I like. Those with narrower feet might find that sloppy, but I feel that a very wide toe box is almost a necessary safety feature for a shoe like this with such a tall stack height to stabilize it and reduce the risk of ankle rollover. They were very comfortable to walk in right out of the box, and the heel cup was nice and secure, without any slipping. No pressure on my heel spur either. I'm really surprised by the quality of the build and features, especially at this price point. While not perfect for my feet, I'm happy with them and give them 2 thumbs up! I'll update my review as I get more time using them, in case there are durability or performance issues that aren't apparent yet. ... show more

  • These are fantastic sneakers, very comfortable for the money.
Size: 9.5 Color: Blue
So I’m not a big shoe shopper but it been a few years since I bought a pair of sneakers. So while shopping with the wife, I tried on multiple pairs of sneakers from low budget to the best they had. New Balance, ASICS, Sketchers, Dudes, etc. I honestly couldn’t find a comfortable pair. Mind you the last pair I bought (other than a couple pairs of hey dudes) were cheap WHITIN brand china sneakers I got here on Amazon that I actually bought for $30 and wore comfortably for the last 5 years. Anyway I stumbled across the new carbon fiber arched Nikes at one of the local shops, I did think they were pretty good feeling and energetic? I guess I’d say. But I didn’t want to spend $150. So I tried to find something similar to try on Amazon for less $$$ and actually these sneakers really are close. Very comfortable, great feeling, good energy in these sneakers for one third the cost. Not truly carbon fiber in them like other mainstream brands but not over expensive either. ... show more

  • Service industry shoes
Size: 8.5 Color: All Black
With the price of Skechers and Shoes for Crews going up and quality/performance not justifying the price, I decided to look for another option. I usually wear Asics for daily use but they don’t make Slip-Resistant shoes. At least not yet. Hoka makes a pair for $200 which isn’t gonna happen. Style: As a bartender I don’t care too much how these look because you can’t see my feet while I’m working. Plus, comfort and function are the main point of these. These look a little goofy because they’re wide and tall. They look like most running shoes. Just taller. Fit: I don’t have wide feet but my feet will tell me if a shoes is narrow right away. These have a wide toe box which doesn’t help the look but feel great. Durability: These take standing in puddles of booze and water and syrups pretty well. Slip resistance is great. They haven’t peeled off or worn down yet. Some other brands peel off. When you first start wearing these your leg muscles, knees, back and feet will be thanking you. You’ll have lots of energy at the end of your shift to power through a restock and cleanup. After a few months, this will change as I think the soles’ degrade and performance drops. Yes, even on these. They’ll still be squishy. They actually become a little too squishy to the point where you have to compensate for the lateral movement. They start to lose their return, if that makes sense. Overall: very good value for the price. I would recommend these to friends and colleagues. I’ll likely buy this brand again in a different style to see how they compare. I dropped it one star for the drop in performance over time. If they lasted longer I would have kept them at 5. ... show more

  • Update. I wish I had found this brand sooner
Size: 10 Color: Grey
Update. After wearing these shoes several times walking 3-5 miles there is something about them that it doesn't allow me to keep a fast pace, nor a long walk. Granted, they are cushy but the design of the soles they don't offer the roller effect as the Hokas. I wrote my initial review raving, and I still do for the price, but don't plan on wearing these for a fast/longer walk. I usually walk 3-5 miles daily. If I exaggerate my heel to toe than the shoes tend to respond better I wish I had found it sooner! I was reluctant to order these since most generic shoes are made for Asian markets, ie., too small, poor quality. Well, I was wrong. First I own several HOKAs shoes @ $175 e/a. I walk over 4 mi/d. One thing about HOKAS the soles don't last. But I have been spoiled and biased about only buying HOKAS. However, this shoes is as comfortable as any of the HOKAS I own. Second The design is not at attractive nor the colors as the competition, but hey for the price I bought it, not complaining. Third they do make an annoying noise while walking. Other people have mentioned it. I tend to wear my earbuds so it filters the noise. I bought 2 pairs on my first order because I was afraid that my size was not going to be available. Sure enough within minutes the color and size I wanted were gone a few minutes I ordered them Fourth I searched and found they had a similar model that were on sale at even lower price than these, great colors similar to HOKAS. I ordered 2 pairs I haven't gotten them yet. I think HOKA better watch out. Fifth And the most important. I called customer support because I had some questions. What a shock the rep that answered the phone was based in the good USA. NO MANILA PLEASE!!!! I don't intend to learn Tegalog, which boils my blood every time I have to deal with Manila. ( I'm sure I'm not alone)The Customer service rep was professional, willing to answer all my questions. In fact, she went ahead to see if she could find a specific size and color I was looking for. How refreshing. Yes ,I do recommend this brand. Another thing the size is right on, even HOKAS sometimes they use a narrower and smaller patterns requiring to go up one size up. They are very transparent where the shoes as made, unlike other vendors they are not transparent and pretend they are made in the US, duh. In Summary I bought 4 pairs for less than a pair HOKA. A game changer ... show more

  • 10 stars! Better than Hokas.
Size: 9 Color: All Black
I HIGHLY recommend this particular pair/style. These are more comfortable than my Hokas - and much less expensive!! My feet are in bad shape & walking or even just standing can be really painful (Partially due to aging and partially due to a very bad Podiatrist who screwed up my orthotics). I’ve tried NORTIV’s entire line and this is the only style of their soles that work for me but YMMV. ... show more

  • Nothing to look at but budget friendly
Size: 9.5 Color: Black/Green
I have had these shoes for about one year now. Overall, they are comfortable and I have had no issues with the fit. I use them mainly for walking and wear them during my Monday through Friday work week. As for looks, they are an ugly shoe lol. Very plain design and very simple looking. But you get what you pay for so that’s to be expected. I also do not like the shoelaces because they come undone easily so you have to make sure to double not them when you wear these shoes. They have held up so far after a year and the soles have about normal wear. They are decent for a budget shoe, but you could spend a little bit more money and get something that looks a little bit nicer if you are concerned about that. ... show more
