I got this to add to my search and rescue pack. We have harnesses and ropes for high and low angle rescue but it’s always a good idea to have a length of good rope with you. It will most likely be used as utility rope. Mine came stained with dust and grease. This happened pre-packaging as it was that way in the bag. The rope is a little stiff. Hopefully it will soften up some. It is pretty easy to tie and untie and hold knots well. Overall aside from the dirt on it I am pretty happy with it.

I keep this rope in the tool bin in the back of my truck. I don't do mountain climbing, but I do tree trimming, rafting, camping, and hauling where I use ropes. This rope is the right size for many uses. The quality of this rope seems to be good and I'm sure I will use it for a long time.

The rope itself is kind of rigid and doesn't really feel like a high quality line you would use for tree climbing, or at least would trust for tree climbing, but it is durable enough for dock lines which is exactly what we're using it as and it is holding up great. I'm happy with it for the purpose I'm using it so I've got no complaints. I took away one of the stars because of how rigid the line is compared to a $60 dock line that you'd buy at the local marine store. Feels like it's a more hard plastic than it would be woven fibers. But it works great for our purposes.

I got this rope to use for dock lines on my PWC however I'm not sure this is the best rope for the job. It is very stiff and unlike traditional woven poly ropes it is rather solid in construction. I'm not sure how it will fair in the wet environment for prolonged periods and it seems like it would take a long time to dry out possibly leading to mold or rot. It does seem to be a strong rope but just not exactly what I expected.

The rope is advertised as "standard EN 1891:1998, which is 'Mountaineering equipment - Static mountaineering ropes - Safety requirements and test methods'", but what I received was just the rope, with no indication that it could be used for mountaineering. So I won't be using it for anything other than a tie-off around the house. Not that it's long enough to climb with anyway. The rope is also a bit stiff. I tied a bowline and it took some effort to get it to cinch up. I tried a few other knots and am of the opinion that I wouldn't trust it for friction knots or anything that could work itself loose. So while not perfect, it'll get the job done for basic tie-downs.
