Just coming out of the bag I was impressed. Beautiful finish. Clean. And of “epic proportions”. Heavier than you’d think (not like POUNDS) but it adds to the authenticity of it. Was wondering how long before I could produce good sound, never played and brass or wood instruments. Took about an hour of annoying the dogs, but WOW. Beginners shouldn’t fret or shy away. My daughter thinks I’m gonna summon an Army from Middle Earth. Worth every penny.

This horn is great. There is a solid weight, it's easy to play for anyone with brass instrument experience, and easy to learn for those without. If I had a gripe, it would be the use of Elder Futhark on a Norse era device. Old Norse should be written in Younger Futhark. That said, the literal translation is "strength on the spear" and is an excellent choice for a horn spell to buff your battle buds and debuff your enemies. I am so far quite pleased with the horn and will look to Norse Tradesman first the next time I want something from that time period.

Our 17 year old grandson requested this Viking Horn as a gift and it was a big hit. The whole family tried it out, which was very entertaining. Then our grandson practiced and put on a demonstration at the next family dinner. It was his version of a dinner bell. It hangs on his bedroom wall as a decoration.

Great quality very pretty horn the only reason it didn’t get a five is because it’s really hard to get a good sound even with that being said I would be it again

It’s a good looking horn and a good size, however they didn’t finish drilling it. You can kind of tell that someone started their hole a bit crooked and then decided to call it “good enough” I bought some new drill bits to finish it myself, but I need to buy a special bit now due to the normal bits being too short. A little more attention to detail or quality assurance would have prevented this… please do better.

Mouth piece is a little rough, have to sand it down to avoid getting lip surface scratched from vibration. Other than that if you follow the instructions and practice you can get a pretty good sound within 10 minutes. It's much bigger than the image. My husband was thrilled to get this for his Birthday. Again pretty awesome instrument!
