I have had some variety of Gaggia espresso machine since about 2009 including the Baby Twin, Classic and since 2019 a Classic Pro. I use with the Rancilio Rocky doserless model. My family and I make around 2-4 espresso pulls a day. I ordered this portafilter to replace a Gaggia brand bottomless filter (same as this: https://www.amazon.com/Portafilter-Gaggia-Bottomless-Replacement-Gladwise/dp/B09G4X1M2S/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1KPQMYT4WGV05&keywords=gaggia%2Bbottomless%2Bportafilter&qid=1701303388&sprefix=gaggia%2Bbottomless%2B%2Caps%2C1080&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1) that I have had since 2015. Over the years the tabs that interface with the group wore down through the plated metal on the outside and the filter began to leak no matter what I did or how fresh or clean my gasket was. It appears that this filter will not have the same issue as the head is made of stainless and not some plated material. It is very substantial in the hand. Because of its mass, once the filter is heated, the temp seems to stay stable during preparation. The looks are nice. I don't like logos on my things if it can be avoided, but some paint marker easily blacked out the normcore logo on the handle. The included basket seems to work as well as any I have tried. I will probably try some of the other offerings from normcore after buying this one. The price is fair for a premium item. ... show more

Just got a Gaggia Classic Evo Pro. Pulled some good, tasty shots with the stock filter. Got the normcore, and it immediately fit better in the machine, easily handled 18 grams of ground, and lets you get a perfect view of how good or bad the shot is(channeling, splattering, etc.). It is also heavier and just feels higher quality than the plastic handle that comes with the machine. This is a no brainer. Love it! ... show more

    • Tight fit on Profitec Pro 300
Color: Black Size: 58mm Fits E61 / ECM / Rocket / Flair 58 etc.
This is a tight fit on the Profitec Pro 300 - much tighter than the stock ECM portafilter. I think the lugs are just a little bit thicker, and it requires a lot more effort to align and then lock in. And the handle likes to come a bit loose from the head (but it's an easy re-tightening to fix). So it's not very pleasant to use - but it does work. And it holds a Weber Unibasket unlike the ECM bottomless portafilter, which is all I asked of it. tldr - If you're a Profitec/ECM owner looking for a portafilter to play with your new Weber Unibasket (or Sworks or other new school wide-bottom high-throughput basket), you might want to look elsewhere. ... show more
