I compared three brands, and these are the most food-safe, airtight, and affordable of the ones I tried. They’re easy to use and clean. These are perfect for my meal prep and offer great value for the money. I chose the 2.6-cup size, which is ideal for modest portions if you’re trying to practice portion control. I’m a little clumsy, but so far no breaks, and they don't hold any odors. I love the versatility; I keep them in the freezer, let them thaw in my cooler until lunch, and then plop them straight into the microwave. I ended up buying these glass food storage containers with glass and silicone lids because the different brand I last purchased was sold out. The major difference between these and the ones I bought from a different brand was that these had a center silicone tab that comes off completely as a separate piece, whereas the others had a smaller tab attached to the side of the lid. I don't like these ones that come off completely because they could very easily get lost after you put them in the wash. Another thing is, I think this tab's functionality is to seal and lock the container once it's in place after the lid is closed, to prevent the lid from lifting off, but these don't work very well. With the silicone tab on and the lids on, you can still lift the lid pretty easily, so then I'm not sure what the silicone tab in the center is for. I also don't like how it's designed, personally. I wish it were a cleaner, more minimal design, without an element that doesn't function very well and a separate piece that can be easily displaced. ... show more

These seem to be fairly good quality and the glass seems thick. However, when I stacked them a glass piece came off one of the containers. So probably need to be careful when placing them for storage. I like the different sizes for whichever item I am wanting to store.
