I bought this for some puppies but they were at the age where they wanted to stay cooler and not so much warmer. But for an old dog or a dog with arthritis or a little stiffness this is probably a great idea they can't get too hot like a heating pad. I wish it was a little stiffer and laid a little flatter but puppies being puppies they had it piled up in the corner most of the time. I think an older animal would enjoy it better.

I created an insulated box on my porch for neighborhood strays to sleep during the bitter cold winter. Cats like to be as warm as possible, so this little pad is soft and reflects their body heat. It must have helped because the box was used regularly by several neighborhood cats for several months.

Bought this for my 15 year old husky who is stubborn when it comes to laying in places that bring heat. It’s a great size. Very thin - but that’s what she prefers. It was a great addition to our camper in that it didn’t make noise when she wanted to reposition herself. My only complaint is that it didn’t withstand an accident. Thought the outside is washable, it isn’t waterproof or resistant so the inside was ruined when she had an accident.

I have a basset so she’s got the typical long back dog issues with her bones, joints, and legs. She’s also not a fan of air conditioning because she tenses up making everything hurt more. It is not 100% silent but pretty close. There’s a very slight tissue crinkle sound but not enough to wake me up and I’m a light sleeper. I put it on top of her other super supportive orthopedic bed…and this bed - y’all she slept ALL. NIGHT. LONG. I turned around and ordered another one for her other bed this morning. She actually sleeps relaxed in it because she’s warm enough. ❤️❤️❤️
