I have been looking for this exact version and it WAS NOT on the Nixon website. I came here to Amazon and found it...Nixon wants $500 for it and it was MUCH less here. Also came with an extra link if you need more space. I took it to my jeweler to take a link out for a better fit and have been wearing it the past 3 days in a row. It is the biggest watch I own so it did take a little getting used to how much bigger it was compared to the others I have. Fit and finish is great and it is sturdily built. I can see grabbing a few more of these in different colors to round out my watch collection. I have already gotten a few compliments on it! I first saw it on the Sam The Cooking Guy YouTube channel a year or so ago and fell IN LOVE with it...now I own it!! Happy guy!! ... show more

My husband loves bigger watches since he's a bigger guy. This one looks great on him. The watch looks expensive and has good weight to it. The face is attractive and we loved the black band color. His wrist is pretty big and we did not have to add links for the first time ever.

I'VE WANTED THIS WATCH forever!!! I finally spent $$$ and I am so glad. You can't miss this nearly 1 Pound clunky piece of brilliant Elegance!!!! The reaction that people have to the sheer size of the 52mm face is matched with the look when they feel the weight!! I thought the polished wristband was a bit "blingy" at first glance, but after putting it on , it's just beautiful. The numbers are huge so I can read without glasses. The date is small but not a necessity. This is a showstopper. Get this ... So nice when it appears from beneath the cuff of your sleeve as a glistening piece of man jewelry!!! ... show more

I've been wanting to buy this watch for a while. I was reluctant about how thick and big the face was, but overall, it's not that so bad on me (I'm a big guy, big wrist, big arm, etc). Watch fit perfect on me right off the box, like it was made for me. Didn't need to adjust or anything. Initial: 1. Box was packed right in retail box, everything looked great. 2. Comes with an extra link. 3. Instruction is wrong: The bottom button starts the chrono, not the top Pro: 1. It's really well made watch. The machine work is good, and the clasp is done well. 2. Heavy watch, but for the size, it's relatively light compare to some other high end SS watches that's smaller in size. As far as how it feels on my wrist, so I guess that's a good thing? 3. Countdown bezel. This is pretty unique and very diver oriented, which I really liked. 4. Big face, big numbers, and very clear indications. Again, diver oriented watch. 5. I like the machined looked a lot better than the high polish. The high polish just looks comical and cheap. 6. Rear facing buttons. Once again, diver oriented (gloves). Plus, it's good for when you ride your motorcycle. It's comfortable this way. 7. Precise and heavy ticking on bezel. I'm split on this, but I think I like it. Again, if I was scuba diving with gloves on, this would be something that I would prefer. 8. 300 meter - Really good. 9. Looks - The design is very clean, functional, and it's made with a purpose, which I like the most. It's not really made big for the purpose of being made big, it's made to be used when diving. In that concept and execution, this is probably one of the best diving watches in the market. 10. Standard #2 spot adjust the date, which I think was done better on this watch than most watches out there. For some reason, I like how they did it. 11. It's not subtle, but it's got some subtle design elements with the light that I really like. The flat bezel face, little sparkles on the chrono bezel, and black chrono second hand. I think it's nice. 12. Solid design ques. Con: 1. Due to it's enormous size, it will look silly if you're a small figured guy. Even on big guy, the big numbers on the face is little overdone. 2. The machine on the SS could of been done a little slower. I compared this with my Tag and it looks like they rushed machining it, because if you slow machine, you shouldn't be able to see the machine marks, and it will be a lot more brighter. But for the price, it's good, I think. 3. The Chrono function buttons are screw down. This is another way they saved money on manufacturing the watch, because all the other watch I have that's 300 meter or deeper doesn't have a screw down chrono buttons/crowns. It's sort of a hassle to unscrew two screws, considering where they're placed. Also, it's not available when diving, which defeats the purpose of the countdown bezel (to see how much you have left before you have to go up. So, I guess it just comes down to fashion... 4. The edge treatment on the watch band and the watch itself could of been done better. It's little more sharper than I'd like or use to. But this is something simple I can do at home (for the price of the watch, etc.) 5. The top downward triangle doesn't line up to the "0". This drives me nuts. But I have this same problem with my other watches, except for the really high end ones. No big deal. 6. I wish they could of done some texture on the face. It just looks a bit cheap up close. 7. I wish the chrono part was a different color. 8. I wish the chrono hand was a different color. It's black, and it's beautifully done, but not really functional. 9. Glass itself isn't Sapphire. lol. But it's ok, because if it was it would of a lot more expensive. 10. No AR coating. But if you can't tell time with this watch, you don't need AR coating, you need an Optometrist. 11. No clasp extension (which they could of had). 12. Connecting rods for the watch bands are too small on the left side vs the right side. I suspect this is a QA issue. Conclusion: Good watch at a discount. Not worth the $500 retail. The Nixon 48 seem to be the perfect sized watch, so I will probably buy one later. I will review on this. ... show more

This watch. Good lord. And the price? I mean it costs $500 everywhere. Simply come on Amazon and you can find them for $300 with prime shipping instantly? I figured it would be a scam. But good lord. This watch. It'd AMAZING. I am returning the 51-30, but it's kind of cool have a 22 lb gold watch on your wrist like flavor flave. People are going to think I'm a billionaire wearing this flossed out solid gold watch. (Let's pretend) I need to get a smaller size though I don't want to take pins out or have such a massive watch face. Still, this gets 5 stars and if your wrists are not tiny get this watch flat out. Best money you'll spend. Instantly everyone will stare at it everywhere you go. ... show more
