I haven't used it to sleep on so I can't review it in that way, but it's pretty sturdy and really comfortable with a few pillows. You really do have to leave the mattress flat for about 3 days for it to proof back up to normal thickness.

We were looking for a queen size futon for a camper porch to have the versatility of a couch and another place to sleep people. I wanted to find a futon in person to make sure it was comfortable- there are no futons in stores in New England- dont waste your time. This one is great. My son ( 24 yr old adult) slept on it for 3 days this weekend and said it was great- color and fabric were great. Took 3 guys a couple hours to put it together. We didnt need 3 we had 3. Well made an seemingly durable. It's surprisingly comfortable as a sofa and the mattress is way better than any folding sofa bed I've used. Is it the finest peice of furnature I've ever seen? No. Is it decent for the money? Hell yeah.

We are happy with the futon, let me say that up front. It looks nice, is certainly padded and queen sized linens seem to work. The things that you need to be aware of is: (1) It is not the easiest thing to put together. Best to wrangle a friend to help. (2) The mattress has a chemical odor that takes a while to go away. We put it in the 2nd bedroom, left the window open and the ceiling fan on and after several days most of the aroma has gone away. I would suggest that you unbox it and put the mattress someplace where it can air out thoroughly. (3) This is a really minor issue and it is my own fault. I realized that the mattress was tufted when I ordered however I did not look close enough at the picture. I thought (assumed) that it came with button tufting however the tufting is bare white thread. Kind of a disappointment but certainly not a deal killer. Very satisfied with this purchase! It was very easy to assemble; instructions are clear and parts are adequately coded and identifiable. The mattress is thick and firm; and can be repositioned to ensure even wearing over time. The assembled piece is very sturdy. There is minor damage in one of the wheel channels that occurred during shipping, but it does affect the way the futon operates when switching from sofa to bed and back to sofa.
