I bought these strictly for music, so I haven't used any of the phone controls or functions. I've done some music recording, mixing and mastering - both studio and live - and own and use some very good audio gear. These earbuds were purchased for casual use. I was also curious about what kind of sound quality was available in bluetooth earbuds for about $20. I chose these out of about a dozen candidates selected by total units sold and overall ratings, giving extra weight to sound-quality ratings On first use, both the case and earbuds were charged and ready to go. My Samsung Galaxy S22 found them within a few seconds and paired quickly. I listened to a variety of music - solo guitar & vocals, electric jazz, pop, and hard rock - using YouTube Music. With everything set to flat EQ, the sound was rich and warm. Bass was wonderfully punchy and fat without being boomy or exaggerated. Upper-bass and midrange were warm, full and surprisingly accurate. Highs were present and smooth, but clearly rounded off, which I figured was done to avoid possible harshness. Those settings probably appeal to the greatest number of people, but I like VERY present and shimmery highs. I played with the YT equalizer and enhancement settings and was really surprised at how clean and warm the highs stayed when I increased them significantly. They weren't as shimmery or transparent as they'd be through good studio headphones, but were much better than what I would have expected from anything under $50-60. The sound stage seemed artificially wide, something that would be problematic in a professional environment but is perfectly fine for casual listening. With the over-the-ear headphones used in professional environments, the sound is generated from slightly outside of the earlobes and surrounds the ear, giving a sense of space that isn't available with earbuds, which inject sound almost directly into the ear canal. The difference in the soundstage was noticeable but not unrealistic, and I wasn't bothered by it at all. Overall, these earbuds give a really nice listening experience for the money. I haven't compared them to anything costing more than $50, but I think I'd have to pay at least that much to get something substantially better. ... show more

Basically, just read all the good reviews these have gotten from almost everyone that's left reviews about them, they aren't lying. My only minor complaint about these is that the type that they come with just don't work in my ears. They kept falling out after being in for a couple of minutes. I had to order a package of tips that had more of a barrel shape to them (the ones they come with are more flared out near the bottom). But once I got the right shape and size tips for MY ears, I changed my shirt about 5 times, pulling it off over my head, and they didn't budge at all. Then I brushed my hair, danced around a bit, and then walked all the way into downtown without them ever once feeling even the slightest bit "unseated", let alone falling out. I'm really glad that was the reason they kept falling out, because that was fixable. Tips are relatively cheap, so it's not really that big of a deal to just grab an assortment of tips from Amazon or wherever to replace the ones they included, Oh. I do have one other small gripe, as well, and that's that occasionally, my hair brushing up against them in my ear causes them to register that as a trap and it pauses whatever I'm listening to. Which is mildly annoying, but it's a small issue I will deal with in exchange for how good these are in every other area. The bass hits hard without sounding garbled or distorted, and the treble is crisp and clear without sounding tinny or screechy. With a good equalizer, you can really get all the different tones coming in clearly. Plus - the battery life!! The earbuds themselves last for a really long time on their charge, but the charging case holds it's charge seemingly forever, and they recharge from practically nothing to completely full in the case in no time at all. I know it says you can use the charging case as a portable emergency charger for your phone, but I haven't had the greatest luck with doing that. The case will keep my phone from dying, but it doesn't really add any more charge to my phone, not that I've noticed, anyway. But then again, I'm usually messing around on my phone while trying to charge it, too, so that might have something to do with it. If I just left the thing alone for a bit, it might actually get a decent charge on it. Who knows? Anyway, with the right tips on them, you can wander around and, except for the sound blasting into your ears, you really can't feel yourself even having any earbuds in. They're very comfortable. Anyway, long story short, these are very good, and they are - DEFINITELY a great deal at the price they're selling them at. They come with different sized ear pieces so you can wear them comfortably, they sound amazing and they last forever, currently charging them after using them for 3 day straight. I wanted to give them a test drive before writing a review but I completely forgot about reviewing and I've had them for months. They charge quickly and I've even gotten asked by my class mates where I got them because they like how you can see the percentages of the ear buds and the base. The only thing I don't really like about them is they're bulky and it took me a while to get used to the touch factor of them, unlike other Bluetooth things I use, the ear pieces don't have buttons, it's all touch sensors. Over all they're really great and when these give out on me I'll be getting another pair. ... show more
