I love when a designer takes the time to make each card unique. As you can see, every card in this deck is different. They are advertised as waterproof and are made from a thin type of plastic that has a somewhat matte finish. They don't feel as thick as the waterproof deck from Hoyle (now owned by Bicycle), but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are not a good product. Time will tell whether they are durable. I am pretty careful with my cards and will be inclined to handle these more delicately because of how thin they are. The deck was packaged in a nice clear plastic case that feels very sturdy. I wouldn't recommend these for a kid 7 or under unless you have an abnormally gentle young child. The thinness of the "stock" makes shuffling and holding these cards somewhat difficult if you're expecting the feel of most traditional decks. They are very floppy and easy to bend. I'm on the fence about whether to rate this deck as 4 or 5 stars. The artwork and case are a 5-star for sure. The thinness of the plastic on the cards makes me question durability which would usually cause me to lower the rating, but they have held up after several shuffles.

The media could not be loaded. I didn't expect these to be plastic cards. The description may say they are but I didn't read through it very carefully. Anyway, when I pulled them out I thought, "what cheap cards, they are so thin and flimsy." Then, I realized they are plastic and I remembered previous cards I've had that are plastic and realized that is how plastic cards feel. I've come to like these cards. The only thing I don't like is that plastic cards are very slippery. You can see how they are slippery in the video. Other than they feel different than normal paper cards and are a little slippery, these cards are great. They look really good and have a really nice plastic case that fastens shut so they don't open and spill out. Great cards at a great price!

Pros: Fun design and love the art work Plastic Cons: Would have to sleeve outside the case. Dragon shield card sleeves make the cards sturdier but won’t fit in the case.

Can you name one person who has at least NOT heard of Mario? Go on, I'll wait! Almost everyone in the modern world has. Even those who do not play video games. So imagine my delight finding these as something to add to my collection featuring everyone's favorite Italian plumber. His iconic moustache and trademark red M cap and overalls adorns everyone of the king cards as well as the card backs. Mario is joined by numerous Mushroom Kingdom citizens including Princess Peach, his brother Luigi, Wario, Waluigui, Bowser as the jokers, koopa troopas, Donkey Kong, boos, you name it. EVERY card has a beautiful illustration on it. These would make great stocking stuffers and just something nice to add to a gaming memorabilia or playing card collector. My only gripe is that they are more pricy than even some premium plastic cards as they are Japanese imports. Also with that said, the card paper used seems to be a bit more flimsy than say, standard Bicycle or Hoyle branded playing cards. Overall however, I would say that you should DEFINATLY get ya a pack of these. :)

These cards look amazing and come in a nice little container so they don't get lost after you use them. My only small gripe is that the cards feel pretty thin. I feel like they are going to rip if someone is not careful; however, something about that also makes shuffling the deck more satisfying! Have fun with these cards!
