Description

Nintendo 3DS includes two screens. The bottom touch screen makes use of a telescoping stylus that is stored in the unit itself. The top screen displays 3D visuals to the naked eye. Looking at the screen is like peering through a window into a world where characters and objects have true depth. The system also has a 3D Depth Slider that lets players select the level of 3D they enjoy the most. The 3D effect can be ratcheted up to the highest level, scaled back to a more moderate setting or even turned off completely, depending on the preference of the user. I got a fully-functioning, beautiful purple 3DS, along with a copy of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon! And a copy of the Penguins of Madagascar tie-in game, but that first one is really cool! I had been planning on buying it for a few days in order to play the new Luigi’s Mansion game for the Switch since I had otherwise only played the first one from the GameCube, but thanks to the incredibly generous seller now I don’t have to! Giving away a copy of such a beloved game, especially just days after the sequel is released, is too generous to not mention. 11/10, will definitely buy from again! The 3DS itself came with some light scratches, but the seller didn’t promise that the console would be in mint-condition, so it’s fine. All I care about is the hardware anyways, and that works perfectly. It also came with two styluses, a double-charger that has a cable for a DS and another one for a DSi/3DS, and an appreciated thin USB wall adapter. ... show more

Looks like it may have gotten sandy at some point as there are micro scratches all over it, barely noticeable. And I had to remove the parental controls which took a Google search. For a cheap 3ds I'd say this was amazing value.

    • Sold a kiosk unit (doesn't work without power adapter) without warning
The 3DS didn't work unless it was plugged in; when unplugged it immediately died. Nintendo made these as kiosk units for stores, but this was sold labeled "Very good" condition with no mention of it being a kiosk unit. Returning; be careful with this.

Arrived on time... except the USP truck didn't stop in my drive way, and didn't check to see if I was home. That's not anyone's fault but my own. I love the color and the game system is in good-condition, although the package could have been a little more secure, even though it was in a box of peanuts it needed something more stable to keep it in place. It came with everything it suppose to, and didn't come with anything extra, except for the stylist. ^^ (But that's considered part of the 3DS to begin with.) Also the original owner should have deleted the Nintendo ID to give it a fresh start and keep there things protected, like there Nintendo e-shop credit info ect. The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love it! It’s breathtaking. No visible scratches and everything feels crisp. Holds a charge and came with an SD card, stylist and charger. Bought games separately. Came in a day early. Only problem I have with it- which doesn’t effect it at all- is that the charger slides a bit too much- no hold. And that when plugging into the ds seems to be dented on the inside or bent causing it not to fully go in. It doesn’t effect the charge at all- just bugs me a bit but I can live with it. Tried to show that in the video (hopefully it attaches). That’s the reason I deducted a star but other than that I’m so glad I got this! (Ps: bought it in “very good” condition and paid a bit extra) ... show more

The actual color of the product is a bit darker than indicated in the picture, it blends into a deeper shade of purple on the 3DS's cover. I am very happy with the purchase, I love the new features (especially the improved wifi capabilities and the built-in pedometer that racks up points the more you walk around with your 3DS...nice way to get us to exercise, Nintendo!) and the 3D capability is great, though you have to be looking at the screen straight-on in order to see it properly. The 3D function seems to use up the battery fairly quickly. Luckily, you have an option to turn the 3D functionality off if you want to play for longer or if you find that it's bothering your eyes.     • Works fine, but frustrating preparation necessary
Functions just fine, but its setting were not reset to the defaults before we bought it. This ordinarily wouldn't be a problem, except that the parental lock was on so the only way to get into the settings or perform a reset would be to enter a PIN or answer security questions, neither of which were provided to me by the seller. It was possible to bypass that by contacting Nintendo, but that shouldn't have been necessary as this should have been done by the seller. Additionally, the description states that a stylus is provided. This was true, however I was under the impression that it would be the original DS stylus as shown in the display photos, rather it was a separate stylus pen. Again, ordinarily would not be a problem, except for the fact that it was covered in a mysterious brown sticky substance that had to be cleaned off. All in all, while some quirks and wear is to be expected when buying something previously used, there really should have been more effort put into making this more appropriate for being sold. The only reason I'm not rating it lower is because the issues were ultimately solvable, and problems aside, the system does function as it should. Tl;dr system works just fine, but really should have been in slightly better shape first. Go ahead and buy if you don't mind a few hoops before you get it how you need it to be. ... show more
