For the past 20 years, or so, I've used Bullet blenders to use for single serve smoothies. When the Bullet first came out, it were the only one of it's type. Each one only lasted about 5 to 7 years, so I've had 3 over that time. With each one I've had to replace various parts that either broke or wore out. The plastic pieces that you insert the cup into get damaged over time and can't be replaced. I decided to get something a bit more powerful and robust. I would have preferred it if it was only $99 instead of $120, but the difference only comes to a penny or two a day, so the cost difference is only really psychological when you place your order. Pros: Generous sized cup compared to the bullet. Handles the ingredients that had maxed out in my bullet Powerful, blends smoothies in just a few seconds, a fraction of the time of the bullet Robust design making it much easier to use, and probably last longer, than the Bullet. Easier to keep clean than the bullet. Can work as a normal blender Cons: Fairly noisy. However, it's on for less than 5 seconds so it's not a big deal Pricey for a single serve smoothie blender. However, it only really comes down to a penny or two a day, and it gives you the option to use as a regular blender when needed. I am extremely happy with the purchase.

I have been using the Ninja every day for two weeks now. This thing is excellent, especially for one or two people. I have been using it to create healthy smoothies using raw spinach, frozen fruit and ice (among other things) and all of those tougher ingredients are pulzerized and mixed perfectly. The iq function is great because it does all the speed changes, on/off pulses automatically. The two go cups make it so easy to blend up a drink and walk out the door, no cleanup. I did a bunch of research and to me this was as good as much more expensive options. Just buy it!

I was on the verge of buying a Vitamix, because the blenders I tried before took a long time and resulted in subpar smoothies with bits still left. So even having a blender at home I kept buying smoothies elsewhere. But in the end I couldn't bring myself to spend the Vitamix money, plus they are huge and I don't have that much space. So I thought I'd give this Ninja a try: the blade looks similar to a Vitamix one, the power rating is the same. The blades are not sharp. They certainly have a cutting edge, but not at an angle that will dull quickly. And I'm happy, for the money this makes perfect smoothies in exactly 58 seconds. Seeds crushed, no ice particles, dates pulverized instead of stuck. I don't know if a Vitamix is better, but I don't care because I get the same smoothie I used to buy elsewhere. And the two included cups save a ton of time, they are a breeze to clean, even if I end up drinking from an insulated mug. I'm so happy I don't have to clean a Vitamix size pitcher after each smoothie. Now the drawback: the thing is loud, I'd flinch the first few days of using it. Sounds like a chainsaw.

This is an excellent blender, perfect for a one- or two-person household. It's easy to clean and the machine packs a punch. It's loud, yes, but so are most blenders in this price range. I wanted something affordable and not too large, and this one comes with three containers. The largest one is 34 oz., and the other two are 24 and 18 oz. So it's perfect for making smoothies and dips of varying sizes. I was about to buy a $500 Vitamix but the pitcher on that was too big (64 oz.) for a small household, so I'm glad I bought the Ninja. The price on Amazon ($109.00) is also far lower than the price on the Ninja website ($139.00). Update: I have now been using the Ninja Twisti every day for one month. This gadget is the "little engine that could." I use it once or twice a day, usually to make smoothies. Thanks to this gadget, I have been taking in a lot more raw fruits and vegetables. Unless the motor burns out, I can see myself using it for as long as possible. This machine is powerful. Frozen fruit, peels, hard vegetables, nuts -- as long as there is enough liquid, the Twisti will pulverize them all. The built-in tamper on the 34 oz. jar is very useful. One wonders why more blenders don't have this design element. I usually hand wash it, using a long-handled bottle brush with bristles to wash the blade. Will be purchasing an extra Hybrid Edge blade in case the blade on this one becomes dull. I have rarely been more contented with a purchase.

My last blender is o l d - as in belonged to my parents - and I am at “grandmother age”! My husband wanted to get me the Ninja Nutri Bullet as a gift and I was lukewarm about ordering it…as I said I did not know that I needed this! After some thought though I began looking at various Ninja models and when I saw the Twisti I knew it was the right model for me. More versatile that the Nutri Bullet (imho) and it has a significantly higher wattage, plus it includes the cups that had drawn me to the Nutri Bullet originally. I have only been using this beast for only a day, but I am thoroughly impressed! This machine is just so good! I made fruit and yoghurt smoothies with extra protein today and they were ready in a flash! So good! The parts are all easy to remove and take apart and they are very easy to clean. The container and the cups are made of a quality plastic - like Lexan…sturdy and well made. I question the longevity of the blade assembly simply because it is plastic (old blenders had glass containers and the blades were set into metal), but since I see that replacement parts are available and not very costly I am not worried. I also don’t think that any parts will need replacement any time soon because this machine is very well made. It sits on the counter very securely with gripper suction cups that actually work exceedingly well. Pros: 1. Fantastic motor and wattage 2. Not huge - does not take up much counter space 3. Works thoroughly and quickly 4. Has tamper legs that can be rotated as you blend (not available when you are using the cups - only with the large container 5. Well made! 6. Capable of doing things like making nut butters, crushing ice, and so much more 7. Replacements parts like cups, containers, blades, seal rings etc are readily available and not too costly Possible Cons 1. Longevity for plastic parts with the blade assembly ? I am very happy with this blender and think it is a little powerhouse!
