Bought a 2010 Subaru Outback with 1 busted lightbulb mount and both were yellowed bad. Took about 2 hours for myself to remove bumper, replace both lights, and remount bumper. They fit just like OEM and are plenty bright. After 3 months I am very happy with them.

I ordered a pair of lights for my truck from a different brand that didn't even fit so I was little worried about these. But I'm glad to report all the bolt holes do line up. The design mimics the appearance of OEM very well outwardly, but on the back you can tell there are quite a few small differences. The low beam bulb holder is a little different, and I think it's a little more finnicky than OEM. Wire routings are a little different. But everything worked just fine, and I think they look nicer than the chrome OEMs (though I baked apart my OEM and blacked out the chrome). Which goes onto say these are silicone sealed, so if you're looking at these to retrofit I would keep looking until you find some butyl sealed housings. I did get some condensation on the inside when I brought them back into my warm house after being out in the cold for an evening. Having moved my OEMs around a bunch I never noticed it on them before. I removed the low beam cover and dried out the inside with a warm hair drier and they condensation quickly went away. I haven't noticed any being a problem on the car.

I have not installed these yet, but a side by side comparison and detailed inspection of the part show that this will be a replacement that will not be distinguishable from the originals. My photos show the original and new part next to each other. Note the originals have already twice been refinished with a headlight polishing kit. These kits just cannot remove the overall yellowing of the plastic. It is time to replace completely and at the cost of these two headlights, that's one of the best things you can do to keep a 13 year old Outback looking fresh. My daughter drives the car daily in any kind of Wisconsin weather, so bright and clear light is important. Mounting tabs and wiring of the new lights all look high quality and compatible. The quality of the low beam projectors appears to be comparable to OEM based on what other reviewers already found out. What strikes me the most is how close to the original even the smallest details of these lights compare. It is almost like they came out of the same mold, which is entirely possible. A lot of OEM suppliers also sell as off brands directly. I recall buying some Mini Cooper parts where the off brand had just taken a dremel to remove the embossed OEM part numbers. Now, if you're not super picky about looks and all you are dealing with is yellow and faded plastic, a headlight refinishing kit will do a pretty decent job as you can see in the photos. It takes a few hours of effort and you are good to go for a year or two before you need to do it again. The new lights should last a lot longer before they start to fade.
