  • Better night vision!
Color: Brown Frame Night Vision Lens
They fit over my prescription glasses well and really improved my night vision!

  • They Really Work!!!
I held the lens to a polarized test lens and saw the hidden design. I looked at my neighbors house who has big outside lights at night all lit up and the "light blur" went away. I saw everything clear. I drove, next test. Car lights hit my face at all angles. I could not look at the direct lights. But, I could look PAST them, to clearly see the road. In otherwords the glare was still there but it was controlled. I could see past it. NOW, to bel clear, I doubt any lenses unless you get into several hundred dollars will do a perfect job. There will always be SOME glare. So, it's important to set realistic expectations. If your expectations are to eliminate nightime headlight glare, none of these will likely do that at this pricepoint. BUT, if your goal is to improve your nighttime driving experience to be safe and more enjoyable, yes, something like these can help you achieve that. These reduce glare probably 50% IMO which is significant for me. Previous lenses I've had reduced glare 30% and those helped me. So for something to reduce glare by 50% for me is a huge improvement IMO. These work. They really work!!! My eyeglasses are not huge, maybe 2-3 inches tall, 3-4 inches wide, so they fit nicely inside these frames. Larger sized eyeglasses may not fit as comfortably, but for average or smaller eyeglasses the fit is seemless. For under $40 these would be an ok value IMO. I might buy probably not. For under $30 these would be a really good value IMO. I might buy probably not unless only game in town. For under $20 these are a screaming value IMO. I'm buying just to check these out!!! I have had cataract surgery in both eyes. A retnal tear repair in one. My eyes are very sensitive to light. I used to hate night driving. Fear it even. Now, I can drive at night safely with good clear vision. IMPORTANT: Make SURE your windshield is CLEAN. A dirty windshield inside or outside can eliminate any advantage these or any glasses will give you. The haze itself will explode when the light hits it and no lenses will help you. Clean windshield. These work great. I am delighted. 5 Stars. ... show more

  • A Little Different from what I'm Used to, but Good
The media could not be loaded. I have decent night vision, which is actually a disadvantage when night driving because it's disrupted by all the headlights from other cars. Very painful. I took to wearing yellow-tinted safety glasses some time ago to help mitigate this, and they helped tremendously. I was interested to see how these polarized glasses would compare. I tested these out in the wee hours this morning on the way to work, and then on the way back home in the afternoon, and here's my take: They don't tint things as much as you'd think, and don't provide quite as much contrast? Jarring "Oof! That's different" to your brain? as a result. However, this also means they don't distort colors as much, and the polarized lenses do help mute and reduce the strain of bright headlights in your face, which is very nice and largely why I wear lenses at night in the first place. This also makes them much more viable to wear during the daytime even in sunlight- with my old lenses, I'd typically only wear them during the day when it was overcast to help brighten things up because wearing them in full daylight was WAY to bright. As far as vision is concerned, I'd say that these glasses have slightly different advantages than my old glasses, so I might still keep the old ones around, but there are no "glaring" disadvantages and I'm liking what I'm "seeing" (excuse the puns) with these ones so far. Next up: Comfort. These are pretty comfy to wear and fit under the brim of my baseball cap just fine, which is appreciated. There is room to wear medium to smallish-sized glasses underneath, but large horned rims might be a stretch. While I don't wear glasses underneath, the extra space between my eyes and the lenses is actually really nice because it keeps the lenses that much further away from my greasy face and any dandruff-stuff that may fall down, helping to keep the lenses cleaner. The little side windows look like they may be a lightly darker tint, which is actually nice since it protects you from bright lights coming from your peripherals. I wasn't sure how much I'd make use of the side windows, but they're kind of growing on me- I'm not used to them, so I feel seeing things through them kind of keeps me more alert. It's not the sort of thing I'd have thought of, but it's little details like this that make trying new things so interesting. I love discovering little details. It's fun. As for the polarization: I know "polarized" is kinda trendy for sunglasses and such and ALSO know that you can't always trust advertisements, so I like to test glasses to make sure they are what they say, and these pass well enough. First off, they come with a cool little silvery plate with a picture that, when seen through the glasses show more detail (seen in video). That's pretty neat, but not necessarily enough to convince me right away. Generally speaking, if you look through a polarized lens at a computer screen and then tilt the lens 90 degrees, you should see a change in the darkening/lightening of the screen: Check. And finally, when holding two polarized lenses and you twist one while looking through both sets, you should see a similar effect as when looking at a screen: Check! Granted, the latter effect I've heard is supposed to be a complete black out, but the glasses I tested them with are rather old and either way, there WAS a darkening, so I'm assuming that's got to be worth something. Finally, these come with a cloth pouch and wiping cloth that both feel like microfiber, so the glasses can be stored and cleaned with less risk of scratching, which is always nice for both practicality and peace of mind. Overall I think I'm going really enjoy these going forward. Thanks! ... show more

  • Feel good on. Love the wrap-around Y2K style. Very Functional. Gender Inclusive.
These night vision driving glasses feel great on. They feel like they are made with silicone, and they are really soft and silky to the touch. I absolutely love the wrap-around style and that there are lenses in the sides of the glasses as well as the front of the glasses. This detail makes me feel safer while using them because, I feel like they help me see out my peripheral vision better at night too, in addition to my forward vision. They seem gender inclusive/gender neutral/androgynous, which I really appreciate. Style-wise, they are very Y2K/early aughts. Very trendy. I, personally, tend to not care much about being on trend style-wise, so the trendy aspect is less important to me. But for those who want to stay on top of style trends, these glasses are indeed on-trend. The reasons I like them most is because they are comfortable, they feel nice to the touch, and they have more of a wrap-around vision coverage, including lenses on the sides, helping with my peripheral night vision also. Functional, comfortable, gender-inclusive, and stylish. I absolutely recommend them. ... show more
